  1. I have exactly the same problem - I'm on 5.0-beta12a. Seems like it happens during the transfer of big files only (> 10GB?), also I have a feeling that the transfer of a file slows down dramatically after 50 - 60 % of a move or copy process. (Supermicro C2SEA, 2.59GHz Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz, 4 GB RAM, 1000Mb/s Full Duplex)
  2. No. I just telnet in and manually delete the three .Apple files, then the problem is fixed! I deleted a file called .apdisk or something like this ( it was only on disk1 ) I'm not absolutely sure if that solved the problem but I don't seem to get the error any more...
  3. is working again my file looks like this: ## # Host Database # # localhost is used to configure the loopback interface # when the system is booting. Do not change this entry. ## I.P.A.d.d.r.e.s.s tower < ------------------------------- 127.0.0.1 localhost 255.255.255.255 broadcasthost ::1 localhost fe80::1%lo0 localhost other positions might work as well - this was the first try
  4. so - lion is out - this doesn't seem to work on lion anymore :'( ... any ideas? - my hosts file still contains the edited line - using safari 5.1, unraid5b10, lion os x

  6. I've got it - I'm trying to upload it right now - will provide a link as soon as it's finished. ( unRAID Server 5.0-beta7 AiO.zip ) edit: unRAID Server 5.0-beta7 AiO.zip
  7. I have! (Air Video Server Version 2.4.5-beta5) care to give any steps you took? I want to update but I don't want to screw it up. I'm sorry, I mixed it up with the Mac version. Currently - using the "Pkg Manager" - Alpha4 is being installed. (http://inmethod.com/air-video/download/linux/alpha4/AirVideoServerLinux.jar)

  9. whoa! - looks like everythings been placed on a fridge? the ultimate cooling system
  10. next-door is not a store Ford Prefect was talking about Italy's neighbouring country ... find good deals e.g. at the url http://geizhals.at/ or http://www.guenstiger.de/ - there must be something equivalent in Italy? e.g. I got my motherbord from schneider-consulting http://geizhals.at/eu/a454412.html similar thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5553.0
  11. Same here I checked my firmware version via unmenue using HDParm (button on http://tower:8080/disk_management) that Joe L. just mentioned or the smart status report respectivly... if you prefer GUI to CLI
  12. You can access it on iPhone/iPad - it's just a bit cumbersome you have to type your server ip into the URL instead of the word "tower" - and you need to do this every time you click a link...

  14. I couldn't live without AirVideo What are you using instead?
  15. Just as a piece of information (don't blame me if sth goes wrong): I have successfully changed back to 4.6 from 5.0b2 (updated from 4.6 to 5.0b2 doing all the steps in the readme.txt incl. 'New Permissions' ). I couldn't get rid of a number of problems (worst of all accessing some of my shares) so I had to return. Apart from backup copies of bzimage, bzroot I made backup copies of "config/smbpasswd" and "shares" (folder), maybe some other files. I'm not 100% sure but I think AirVideo was working flawlessly. I did have to uninstall the php add-on.
