I’ve restored an Unraid backup on my new USB flash drive and everything is working again. 🥳 So it seems like the defective USB flash drive was the culprit.

Habe gerade das Unraid Backup auf den neuen USB Stick geladen und alles hat sofort wieder funktioniert. GUI ist wieder problemlos erreichbar und auch sonst läuft wieder alles wie früher! 🥳 Nochmals vielen Dank alturismo für den Hinweis, das mein USB Stick defekt ist/wird! Da hätte ich nie dran gedacht.

Erneut danke für deine schnelle Antwort. Ich verwende den „Nginx Proxy Manager Official“ und dank deiner Anleitung kann ich sehen, das dieser Container im Bridge Modus konfiguriert ist. Damit kann man den Host Mode als Fehlerquelle ausschließen. Der neue USB Stick sollte morgen geliefert werden. Eventuell behebt der ja das Problem. Ich sag auf jeden Fall Bescheid. Thanks for the quick reply! I‘ve just ordered a new USB stick (Transcend 16GB JetFlash 780 USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB Stick) and will replace the failing device. I hope this will also resolve my Unraid gui issue. Will keep you posted, once the new stick has arrived. Many thanks, oesi369

Leider weiß ich jetzt nicht mehr genau in welchem Modus ich den Nginx Proxy Manager installiert habe, jedoch lief das System bis gestern seit vielen Monaten ohne Probleme. Ich habe jetzt versucht den Docker Service (inkl. Nginx Proxy Manager) über das Terminal zu beenden und anschließend den besagten Nginx Service nochmal manuell zu starten. Leider hat das keine Veränderung gebracht. Vielen Dank auch für den Tipp bezüglich meines SanDisk USB Sticks. Habe mir gerade einen Neuen bestellt (Transcend 16GB JetFlash 780 USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB Stick). Vielen Dank für deine Tipps. Oesi369

Hello, I have a problem accessing the GUI of my Unraid Server (6.12.11). Since my last reboot I can no longer access the graphical interface after entering the IP address. However, all of my installed dockers work (accessed via their GUIs) and I can also access the server's file share via my Windows PC. It seems that only Unraids graphical interface is affected. A reboot in safe mode with GUI also gives an error message that no page can be accessed under localhost. When I log in locally on my Unraid computer and run the command "/etc/rc.d/rc.nginx status" I get the message "Nginx is not running". When I try to start Nginx manually (/etc/rc.d/rc.nginx start) the message "Starting Nginx server daemon..." appears but Nginx doesn't seem to start. When you afterwards query the Nginx status, the message “Nginx is not running” appears again. I have also attached the diagnostic file and I would be very happy to receive tips on how I could fix the problem. Thank you in advance for your support in troubleshooting! Hallo, ich habe ein Problem mit meinem GUI meines Unraid Servers (6.12.11). Nach Eingabe der IP Adresse, kann ich seit einem Reboot nicht mehr auf die grafische Oberfläche zugreifen. Alle meine installierten Docker funktioniern jedoch (Zugriff über deren GUIs) und über meinen Windows PC kann ich ebenfalls auf die Dateifreigabe des Servers zugreifen. Es scheint somit nur die grafische Oberfläche von Unraid betroffen zu sein. Ein Reboot im Safe Mode inkl GUI gibt ebenfalls eine Fehlermeldung das unter localhost keine Seite aufgerufen werden kann. Wenn ich mich lokal auf meinem Unraid Rechner einlogge und dort das Kommando "/etc/rc.d/rc.nginx status" aufrufe, bekomme ich den Hinweis "Nginx is not running". Wenn ich versuche Nginx manuell zu starten (/etc/rc.d/rc.nginx start) erscheint zwar die Meldung "Starting Nginx server daemon..." aber Nginx scheint nicht zu starten. Bei wiederholter Abfrage nach dem Nginx status erscheint wieder die Meldung "Nginx is not running". Im Anhang habe ich auch das Diagnose File angehängt und ich würde mich sehr über Tipps freuen, wie ich das Problem beheben könnte. Hallo, ich habe eine allgemeine Frage: Wenn man den Befehl "powertop --auto-tune" ausführt, werden die Änderungen dann permanent in die Unraid Config übernommen? Falls man im Anschluss irgendwelche Probleme mit dem System hat, reicht es den PC dann neu zu starten um die nicht optimierten Werte wiederherzustellen? Ich möchte gerne den Stromverbrauch meines NAS etwas optimieren. Da mein System aktuell sehr stabil läuft will ich aber vorher sichergehen, das ich bei Problemen jederzeit auf den aktuellen Zustand zurückwechseln kann. Oder gibt es eine Möglichkeit von den aktuellen System-Einstellungen mittels powertop ein "Backup" zu machen? Vorab schon vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

OMG! I've noticed that one Molex connector has exposed wires, which were touching the case. Once this issue was removed, the hard drive is now running normally and speed returned to the MB/sec range. Maybe this was the issue all along!? I need to finish rebuilding my array and keep testing. But I keep my fingers crossed. Would be great if someone could still have a look at my diagnostics file. In case there are any other issues. Thanks in advance!

One more thing, I've noticed, that the power cycle count for my now being rebuilt pairity hard drive increased from 634 to 684 over the last 3 hours. In addition, I hear the hard drive constantly spinning up again and my estimated speed for the pairity-sync/data-rebuild progress is only in the KB/sec range (not MB/sec). Could it be a power supply issue? Or faulty hard drive(s)?

Maybe a followup question: To rebuild the disk, I need to click "check Pairity" and enable "write correction to pairity". Once completed, both drives should be up and running again. Or did I misunderstand something? Is it common, that a write failure to the disk occurs and the disk gets being disabled? Thanks for your reply!

Appology for attaching the diagnostic file not directly to this thread. As suggested, I've attached it to this new thread. The data loss was caused by myself, since I formatted the drive and ignored the warning that "Format is never part of a rebuild". However, I thought this is the only way to re-enable my hard drive and ignored the warning. But I've learned my lession and will never do this again. I still don't understand what's the reason for one of my hard drives being disabled and hope that the attached diagnostics file might be able to narrow down the problem. Hi, I've problems with my unraid server (v6.9.2), where my hard drives unexpectedly get being disabled after a couple of days in use. For the pairity drive, I was able to solve this issue with the "pairity disk swap" trick (disable raid, unselect pairity disk, restart raid, stop raid, select hard drive as new pairity disk, rebuild the raid). However, recently my other hard drive (containing all the data) got disabled and I tried the same "trick", which resulted in all data being wiped from this drive. Since I had a backup there was no real data loss, but you see that I'm new to unraid and still need to learn a few things... 😉 After starting all over again, my unraid server kept working fine for couple of days until today, when my pairity drive got disabled again. I've also run a MemTest on this machine, which was completed without any issues. In addition, I've also replaced the SATA cables, but the disabled drive never got available again in the raid array. However, the disabled drive is able to spins up and down when clicking on the red cross icon next to the drive name. So it seems to be present in unraid, but the drive is not able to start up in the array. What could be the problem and how could I fix this issue? How can I re-enable a hard drive after being disabled? I would really appreciate your support in this regard.
