  1. Thanks for the reply, Stan! I guess I didn't explain myself well. I created a customer docker network (let's call it "home"), using the instructions provided by Ibracorp here: I'm wondering how the change to ipvlan will impact this setting as most of my Dockers are on the custom docker network "home" I created.
  2. Hey all. I have more than a few people who rely on my unraid server and I've been busy so I haven't updated my server in a while. I finally found some time to update it, and if anything goes wrong, I'll have time to either fix or roll back. One question I have that I can't seem to find an answer to is regarding the docker network type changing from macvlan to ipvlan and the impact it will have on a custom docker network. What is the impact, if any at all, to changing the docker network from macvlan to ipvlan on a custom docker network? Lastly, if I change the docker network type to ipvlan while still on 6.11.5, is this a good test to see how my dockers will react or is there other changes in the upgrade that will impact my dockers (from a network perspective)? Thank you all for your help!!
  3. Hi all. I've made these settings to my Plex docker to great effect, so thank you! I have one question I was hoping someone could explain to me. It's regarding using "Direct disk access", with the instructions here: So, I did this and I started thinking. I have two nvme drives in BTRFS raid 1 setup. If I do this direct disk access (/mnt/cache/appdata/plex) and bypass the Unraid SHFS, does this also bypass the BTRFS raid 1 so that my database is only on one nvme and not two? I really don't want my database on just one drive (I've spent a lot of time getting my database customized and don't want to lose it. I just had a scare where I thought I lost it, but I was able to recover it) Thank you all for the help, these instructions are amazing! John
  4. I just submitted a new issue (#188). I'm building an unRAID server for a friend and I just noticed that I can't assign an nvme drive to a tray. When I run "force scan all", it detects the nvme drive, but I can't assign it. Is there any way to get this feature back? Thanks!
  5. No worries! I appreciate your input. I'll take the server apart and check the connections. ๐Ÿ˜
  6. @JorgeB, Thanks for replying. Just to clarify, disk 1 in Unassigned Devices is being precleanered and is not the same disk as disk 1 in the array. If you take a look at the disk identification, you'll see they are different. I'll take a look at the connections, thanks for the input!
  7. Ok, so I've been having this weird issue where disks assigned to the array, show up in the Unassigned Devices. It started yesterday, when one of my disks (disk 2) started showing errors and the array removed the disk (showed a red X), yet the array size did not change (don't fully understand that...). I was pretty sure the drive was still good (SMART output showed it was ok), so I rebooted, reassigned the disk and did a parity check and everything was fine (ran for over 10 hours). This morning, I wake up, and disk 3 had been removed, but added to the Unassigned Devices, yet the array says it is fine and shows the disk as still attached, and there are no errors. Then I just noticed, the same thing has happened to disk 1. Attached is a screenshot of my Main tab. If you look at the disk names, you will see disk 1 and disk 3 still show as part of the array, but the temp column has an *, and both are listed in the Unassigned Devices. And yes, all three drives are WD WD60EFAX (SMR) ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ˜ž Others have said SMR shouldn't impact UnRAID performance (besides slowing it down), but they are the only trouble drives I have. So, what the heck is going on?! I'm not sure how to interpret what is happening and how to fix it. I've attached my diagnostics report. You will see I'm preclearing a couple of drives (CMR), in case its best to replace the SMR drives (I have two attached via a USB 3.0 dual dock, but unRAID is showing them both as just the first one). I'd still like to understand what is happening and can I continue to use the SMR drives? Thank you! depthvader-diagnostics-20220403-2126.zip
  8. @Cpt. Chaz, Sorry for the delayed response. I changed the -mtime to +1, thinking it would delete files over a day old....oops...it took two days (I understand why now, just didn't at the time), which delayed my response by a day. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Anyways....your above command worked perfectly! It deleted all the files and folders, except the hidden ones! You are the best and thanks for all your help! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  9. @Cpt. Chaz, Thank you for your research, I really appreciate it! I have not had a chance to play with the script yet. Life got in the way...as it does... My work is crazy right now, so I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to try this out (maybe this weekend). Once I get a chance to try it out, I'll post back my findings when I'm done for others. If I end up tweaking your argument, I'll post what I did. I'll also read the forum you linked to, to help educate myself. Thanks again for looking into this for me! ๐Ÿ˜
  10. First time poster here. I just started using unRAID and so far absolutely love it. I'm coming from Synology, which is a great platform, but I love the ability to use my own hardware and the versatility of unRAID. @Cpt. Chaz, this is a great script and just what I was looking for, so thank you. I am relatively new to scripting, so I was hoping you or someone else could help with a modification to this script. How hard would it be to exclude specific files and folders? I have a hidden file and folder (i.e. .file and .folder) that I need to NOT delete. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much for your help!
