  1. Awesome itimpi. Did as you suggested, selected Only for now, I can always change If I change my mind. I think I confused myself. I was reading many threads and had Prefer on my Tower3 which is running 6.7.2, which I installed the SSD 2 months ago. Why I set Yes for Tower1 I do not know. Impatience in wanting to get Boinc up and running possibly. Your explaination is very logical. The text explaination is very clear also, now that I re-read it. Appreciate your patience and advice. Cheers
  2. Thanks itimpi, Yes I do have Use Cache to YES. I do not use the Mover function, SSD is just for the Boinc Docker. Which setting would be best for my situation, Prefer or Only? Much appreciated.
  3. Hi Everyone, I have just started using Boinc Docker on my 3x UnRaid Towers with great success. I added a SSD to my Tower1 yesterday, moved the Boinc Docker to the SSD. All ran perfect for the day, This morning I found computational errors for all tasks. Saw that the Mover started at 3.40am. Now I set the Mover to Monthy. Is there a way to stop the Mover? or setting so it does effect Boinc? Much appreciated Steve tower1-diagnostics-20191126-0733.zip
  4. No, there is not. Worth every cent for my 3x Towers. 😎
  5. Nov 9 22:21:10 Tower root: Hardware event. This is not a software error. Is the cooling for the cpu good? Replace the Thermal Paste might be worth investigating, eliminate a thermal problem.
  6. Possible to post Diagnostic log? Got to tools.
  7. Can you tell us a bit more about your Rig? CPU, Motherboard, Ram, Hard drives Running what version of UnRaid, VM's etc.

  10. Just to add, all temps are good, CPU 41'c, motherboard 27'c, 120mm fan on the blowing cool air on the 9211-8i's Highest hard disk temp 31'c.
  11. Hi Everyone. Just replaced Disk 1 with a 4Tb from an original 2Tb. Looked at the logs and see Thermal and Spurious interrupts for the Root.....is that the USB stick? Have attached screen capture of logs and Diagnostics. Appreciate any advice\help. Cheers tower2-diagnostics-20191021-1630.zip
  12. Just unlucky I guess. I have 7x 8Tb WD Red in my Tower3, my main Tower total 100Tb data. 2x are my Parity drives. How old is your power supply?
  13. Controller arrived, installed and booted no worries, This is a headless Tower, so did not see the Firmware version. Will do that later today. UnRaid in Tools, System Devices listed as Serial Attached SCSI controller: Broadcom / LSI SAS2116 PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS-2 [Meteor] (rev 02)
  14. I do wish you luck, That is a lot of sata connectors, and power connectors. Hope the gamble pays off..
  15. Why do you say that? I have bought my 9211-8i's off this seller and were OEM cards.
  16. This is the ebay seller I bought off, https://www.ebay.com/itm/9205-8I-9207-8I-9201-16I-9201-8I-9211-8I-9340-8I-IT-Mode-for-ZFS-FreeNAS-unRAID/132902519120?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=432201158266&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  17. I just ordered a 9201-16i, would give you enough also... Arrives in a couple of days... Still cheaper than replacing your current Tower gear.
  18. You could buy a LSI controller, 9211-8i in IT mode..just a thought Cheaper than replacing the mobo etc.
  19. I would replace the cable for Disk 5, Log shows it resetting many times. 21. Kingston Data Traveler 2 is one of the recommended USB Drives, https://www.amazon.de/Kingston-DTSE9H-16GB-DataTraveler-Speicherstick/dp/B006YBARCA/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=kingston+datatraveler+2&qid=1569736735&sr=8-2 https://wiki.unraid.net/Hardware_Compatibility#USB_Flash_Drives I have 3x SanDisk myself, Ultra Flair 32Gb, I like them as they are not a short stick, better for less heat issues.
  22. What is your UnRaid setup at home? Do you change equipment or components regularly? What would your Ultimate Setup, case and components be?
  23. I use 2 Parity once I go over 14 data disks. Are good points for single and dual parity. Is a choice on which way to go.
