I got 4 licenses of standard for free for writing a blog entry for them. I will probably pay for an additional 2 or 4 when we move. The nice thing is whatever you buy the license is infinite. You only pay more if you want updates past a year. Plus if you are doing it on unraid it is a no brainer. I had way too many issues on the VM vs the native linux docker.

I also posted this elsewhere but for future users: I was able to get it going with a docker using this repo (add in docker repos) https://github.com/roninkenji/docker-templates/tree/master/roninkenji After that add container choose my-Dnsmasq Template You will need your config files in this path /mnt/user/appdata/dnsmasq/config or wherever you point the path name it dnsmasq.conf I also put a host file in there. If you are unfamiliar with what goes there go here https://blogging.dragon.org.uk/howto-setup-dnsmasq-as-dns-dhcp/ i have to set network to bridge before it worked Finally have my DNS server happy running again!

About to take the plunge and run a trial (not a fan of my vm setup). I have an external USB disk I am using for storage. Can I still use the external USB disk here like i can with the VMs? I did this so I didnt have to have internal disks always spun up.

But the same thing happened to me, my dnsmasq worked fine until I installed VMs. Now it no longer works. I figured i should search the forum first to see if anyone else had the same issue instead of starting new thread. I am using the bridge and even disabled my VM config but it isn't working now. If tuxbass solved it I thought I would be quicker since no one else seemed to know how to fix his issue.

Did you get to the bottom of this I need my DNS server back.

I tried doing this and have no video on my VM using server 2016. Works just fine on my Windows 10 desktop. Any suggestions? Am I missing a codec? I'm using rdp to connect and install.

Check disk found no errors and usb2 worked great. I've made a backup and have setup crashplan to backup the boot directory. Thanks again!!

I dismiss the statistics demand prompt and I get just the headers. Attached is historic log syslog1.zip

yes i am using putty and my plugins are all running and the os appears fine

I can only use the header for the webui and it keeps prompting for preclear statistics install. I dont know my drive assignments and it looks like maybe the flash drive has gone south. Attached is syslog syslog.zip

I am on 6.3.2 and when i go to the gui page i get a staticstics error message and hit install and get " Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/boot/config/plugins/statistics.sender.plg" in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 214 plugin: xml parse error " If I dismiss it then i just get the gui header. Everything else is running. If this is the boot disk is there a way i can save everything from flash and move it to another boot disk? Scared to reboot. Also I can run diagnostics but it doesnt create the file in boot/logs since it is empty. Can I redirect it? Thanks, Timbiotic

Upper right hand corner change from basic to advanced then remove the extra parameters Also can anyone update? It always says update available but when i update it, nothing changes and still wants an update.

Everything working ok but for some reason I can't pull updates. I get "layers from manifest don't match image configuration" after it downloads and extracts. I'm on 6.2

any special naming? I don't see an Emby folder but I am guessing you abbreviated Embyserver. I downloaded 3.1.41.tar.gz and placed it there. Didn't work. Does it need to start with "Embyserver-PhAzE"

If I manually download it from the repo where does it want it put when it checks usb?

When you click "install" on the emby plugin settings page, then open activity log, it should show the problem. finally got the plugin back on but still big red letters of not installed. Cannot get it to install. Cant see errors why either
