  1. I think I'll try for a new psu. All the other connections are reasonably new (couple of months) and the psu is getting on a bit. Thanks again
  2. Would this have to do with the power/connection problems? Its a brand new drive
  3. Cache drive is still there but copying files and keeping parts of the docker running are playing up theark-diagnostics-20231104-1243.zip
  4. Ah ok, no clues on why the cache is playing up then?
  5. OK, thanks mate, I'll give it a try. Disk7 issues likely to be power related to you think?
  6. Now I've got a problem with a data disk. New diags attached theark-diagnostics-20231103-1759.zip
  7. Please standby for an epic....A few weeks ago I started having issues with the docker stopping working. A quick stop and restart fixed it for a while , but then the cache drive started being lost. Stop and restart a few times and everything fine again for a while. Then that stopped working, ok, cache drive is stuffed so I'll replace it and the cables while I'm at it. Everything worked fine for a couple of hours and then its at it again. The docker is running but not properly (Tv side of Plex isn't showing up ect) I've attached the diags for what they are worth, not sure if they'll point out the problem or not. Any help appreciated theark-diagnostics-20231103-1742.zip
  8. Thanks, I'll give it a try at the weekend, brain doesn't fire on all 8 cylinders thru the week. I have taken the extender out of the mix and just running out of the controller it self and it seems to be running fine and dandy atm
  9. Ok so I'm back with more stupid questions. I'm getting a heap of CRC error counts on some of the drives, is it possible that the SAS expander card isn't getting enough power out of the PCi-e slot to power the drives properly? There is only 4 out of the 6 drives throwing errors and I thought it might be a cable problem to start but all of the problem drives are sharing a cable with one of the drives which seem ok. The errors only seem to happen when read/writes are happening but I'm guessing this is normal. If this is possible can I just plug a molex connector into the card while its mounted in the PCi slot or do I need to remove it first? Basic noob questions I know but just don't seem to be able to get a win Thanks theark-diagnostics-20230403-0640.zip
  10. disk 7 now disabled theark-smart-20230401-1518.zip theark-diagnostics-20230401-1520.zip
  11. new cards, new cables but having a couple of disks showing errors, would you mind checking the diags for anything bad please theark-diagnostics-20230401-1448.zip
  12. OK so I went all out and got the SAS controller and extender and have a couple of questions I think I know the answer to but wanted to double check 1: The extender needs power only, do I have to use the molex plug or can I put it into one of the slots and let it get power that way or will it upset the way the controller and extender work? Dont really have another safe way to mount the card in my case 2: My system has always been a little....unstable, drives showing up as dead or dying every few weeks ect. Would the Marvell SATA multiplier been the a cause of the instability?
