I currently use a "SAMSUNG MUF-32AB/AM FIT Plus 32GB - 200MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive" for my drive OS on my development server. I was told that this was a reliable drive for unraid however after owning it for just a year I notice that sometimes somehow the card gets unassigned and all of my vm's and Docker containers disappear until I reboot the server. To me it doesn't seem to be very reliable so I was trying to find a different way of doing something more reliable even if I have to put it on a solid-state drive. Do you have any recommendations by chance for a well tested flash drive or can I just mount the OS on a SSD so won't have this problem in the future?
I could be wrong but I thought normal hard drives /ssd's get a GUID as well so I could be wrong?
