  1. Do not started to add drivers yet; just installed Samsung and HP drivers because they are universal. If you want to request a driver, please post your printer's model. I went to the cups docker admin web page and had it find my Epson 545 printer and then I added it from the list and it works great! Thanks so much for creating this docker!!!
  2. Will this work with Epson printer's? Thanks again for all your hard work!
  3. I forgot to mention those appdata and images shares where already created on my cache drive, so it see's them fine and they are set to cache only. But under user shares I see all 13 disks with each disk folders as shares so the share list is long!. As I only want those to be disk shares and not user shares. I set them to excluding disk 1 - 13 in global settings and it hides them but it also hides the cache appdata and images shares on the user share tab. When i did this on previous versions of unRaid it worked and listed only appdata and image shares under the user share tab. Did something change in the way this works since 6.0 RC4? Thanks Sounds like what you should really do is just have disk shares and turn off user shares if you don't want unRAID making your disk folders into user shares. Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. I really only want to use the cache drive for my appdata and images shares for Docker and VM's. Really not wanting to use the cache to speed up or anything else. I guess I could just turn off user shares and leave use cache on. I really don't use the mover part anyway.

  5. Since I had problems with my working shares moving from RC4 to RC6, I decided to start over with a USB format and fresh install of 6.0 Final. I only want to use the cache drive for shares created on it, such as appdata and images. I also would like to exclude my other 13 drives from this and keep those drives as disk shares only. Since it's been longtime I want to make sure I create these right. So what what's the correct way to do this? Thanks JM
  6. Being really busy, but will take sometime tonight to play with this. I understand busy! No rush just checking. Thanks again for all your help.
  7. I was not my intent to hijack anyone's thread, since it looked like he was having the same issue I was. Apologies to him.
  8. That's really strange, can't get my head around this one at all. Sorry. Get this I switched to new fresh usb stick with 6.0rc6 on it and I couldn't get my cache share working so I copied the rc4 files back was able to setup the shares.
  9. Ok I rolled back to rc4 and my shares are back.
  10. I stopped the array to create the shares. You may be correct about rc6 changing things as rc4 works just fine. I may be attempting to create them wrong since its been a longtime since I had to do it..
  11. It's just my cache drive which contains my appdata folder, docker folder and images folder. I will go look at logs and see what I can find. ok I tried to make a share named appdata and here is what the log shows. emhttp: shcmd (383): mkdir '/mnt/user/appdata' |& logger logger: mkdir: cannot create directory '/mnt/user/appdata': No such file or directory emhttp: shcmd (384): :>/etc/samba/smb-shares.conf avahi-daemon[13102]: Files changed, reloading. emhttp: Restart SMB...

  13. Yes RC4 worked fine. But I have wiped my system for new setup for rc6. I forgot to say it didn't work on rc5 either. Can you make a new share?
  14. I am getting the same thing! I posted this in the RC6 thread below. Well after fighting with my system after updating to RC6 I started over fresh. I am having issues getting my shares working. I had in the past 3 shares named appdata, docker and images all located on my cache drive. I do not want the mover to move them so I had them set to cache only. I cannot seem to create them now since moving from RC4 to RC6.

  16. Did your shares disappear? No only difference is all dockers are gone - Shares and everything else (plugins etc.) are working as before the update. Not quite sure what is going on. The reason I asked was that i tried to update from rc4 to rc5 yesterday and my shares disappeared and some of my dockers would not start. I have not tried rc6 yet as I rolled back to rc4 and all is fine. My shares are on my cache drive.
  17. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before... I am at 6.0 rc4 and hit the update button to go to rc5 and after reboot I lost my appdata, images and docker shares on my cache drive. So I rebooted again and still no shares. You can open the cache drive and everything is there so I did the rollback to rc4 and they are back just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks
  18. nope.. going to take a while, lol. unless i get that "eureka" moment, it's keep plugging at it until i find what works. You Rock!
  19. Welcome Back! I hope you had a good vaction.
