  1. here ist the diagnostic with the reboot it created the domains share as root. VMS is back as well, but cannot find its files. tower-diagnostics-20220515-2148.zip
  2. I am a bit speechless. Is that normal? Kinda lost with this to be honest. That should work, shouldn't it?
  3. That's exactly the problem: Since the share 'domains' seems to be gone. I thought it may be sufficient to just create one manually. When I try to create a share with the name 'domains' int the Unraid gui, I can press Apply and all seems normal but the share doesn't appear. I can create one with 'Domains' though, but that won't do the trick. Is there a way to reset the VM mounting domains?
  4. It is really strange. The diagnostics say there are 20 shares. But I can only see 16 in the Unraid dash. Any help?
  5. Ah, sorry. Here it is. tower-diagnostics-20220514-2316.zip
  6. Hi everybody, I may have deleted the domains share somehow. It is not there anymore. When I want to open VMS it says couldn´t start libvirt services. If I go to settings VM Manager it say there: /mnt/user/domains/ couldn´t find path When I want to create a share with the name "domains", it won´t show up. No error msg though. I had installed a Win10 VM once. I just started to use unraid. the isos are still there. Is there a way to re-install the domains Folder for VMs? I have no idea what to do. Fix common problem says all fine. Any suggestion appriciated. Thank you.
  7. Hi there, I experience a strange behaviour on my Mac. I got a share: in Finder: 32 items in Krusader 192 items Any leads on this?
  8. Oh, excuse me, I was referring to the option of making a live backup to a second usb stick. This option has the nice side effect that one already has the spare flash drive on hand at the machine. (Only downside is the second drive would fail as well....in this case the online option is superior...on the other hand we all depend on myserver infrastructure then...) I was just interested in the thought process on how to handle things since I want to learn and gain more expertise in this field.
  9. But how - I may ask - is that a more convenient solution? Finally I need to have it on the stick...
  10. Hi everyone, may I ask a general Q here because it seems to stick to the topic: The default settings of the CA Backup Pugin icludes a filepath for the backup of appdata to the array. Since I am new to unraid I have no experience what an appdata problem looks like that would give need for accessing the backup. Given the situation all appdata would be lost, would I be still able to access the backup data on the array? Is it sufficient to only store the appdata backups to the array or is there a point of failure where you would need to get the data from an external storage? Another Q: When it comes to the flash drive, I like the idea of creating a live backup on another usb stick. Since it is deprecated from version 9.6 on, this means it is still possible. I find the solution quite handy but could not find information to let me understand why it is not recommended anymore. Have a nice weekend!
  11. Any help on this? Got the same problem. (6.9.2)
  12. I have a disc that shows its content in the main view of unraid. I want to copy the content to my array. But Krusader doesn't show my the root folder of the disc. It appears to be empty. Any help on this? (I got UD+ installed as well) Bonus Q: What is the preset password of ssh tower if I want to copy it via the terminal?
