  1. I don't think it's up again knowlage-diagnostics-20200807-1214.zip
  2. Connections are good - how do I get it back online the proper way (I don't think "new config" is correct).
  3. knowlage-diagnostics-20200807-0837.zip Hi Guys, I got a disk error - what shall I do?
  4. Hi Guys, once I passed through my GPU and shut down the VM, the screen for unraid remains black. Is it possible to revert the screen back to the console?
  5. I just did a similar procedure and it went without issues; First I installed, preclean and added larger disks. Now I excluded all target disks from all shares. I used unBalance to move all the data from the target disks to the remainers. Now I did a new config but removed the target disks and started a parity check. Remember to remov all the excludes from all the shares. Now I just used the target disks as unassogned disks and reformated them to another filesystem. You could also preclean them to make sure they are still working well. Copy the data once pariry is finished. I have about 30tb of data and the whole procedure took about 120hrs.
  6. Hi Guys, Is it possible to define a kind of dependecy for the container, so one will wait for another..? I have some DB containers running and after running the scheduled backup they take a while to be back up again. Other containers using those databases are then failing to start.
  7. Hi Guys, I'd like to enable nested virtualization. I tried following the Guide for it, but it seems something has changed and I get XML error: Non-empty feature list specified without CPU model When I try to save my config file. I tried looking up the board, but the solutions I found here seem no longer to be valid. I'm using an Intel (i9-9900) CPU and SpaceInvaders script to enable nested virtualization: #!/bin/bash #set whether your cpu is Intel or AMD [1-Intel] [2-Amd] cputype="1" #Do not edit below this line #turn nested on if [[ "$cputype" =~ ^(1|2)$ ]]; then if [ "$cputype" -eq 1 ]; then modprobe -r kvm_intel modprobe kvm_intel nested=1 echo "Nested vms are enabled for intel cpus" elif [ "$pushnotifications" -eq 2 ]; then modprobe -r kvm_amd modprobe kvm_amd nested=1 echo "Nested vms are enabled for AMD cpus" fi else echo "invalid cpu type set please check config" fi sleep 10 exit
  8. I'm trying to isolate CPU's and just use those for the VM's rn - this is the diagnostics running one VM knowlage-diagnostics-20200720-1703.zip
  9. I'd recommend to install you VM using the Windows VM on Unraid Guide without any Passthrough. Once it is setup and running, you will need to install a VNC Server, as the VNC you get from UnRaid will be replaced by your GPU and won't be avialable. You can use Remote Desktop from windows, but this will never use the GPU and you will run into issues. So use something like a RealVNC Server for the basic setup and Parsec for gaming, etc. Once that is setup, begin with the Passthrough stuff. Another thing to consinder is that if you want to be able to run in headless mode (no screen attached to the GPU output) you gonna need display dongle.
  10. Hi Guys, I have several Windows VMs running 1809 for a while. Now I started updating them to the recent build. After the update the machines are barley usable - having micro frezzes every couple of seconds, can't even interact with the UI, etc. Is there a known issue? What Information can I provide to drill down into the issue?
  11. All I got - that's why I'm asking. From previous situation I can't remember ever having that many sync errors.
  12. Parity completes -> Array fine -> No operation or what so ever -> disk drops -> new config -> xfs_repair -> parity check. Disk dropped due to a damaged cable.
  13. the status array before was fine, literally just completed a parity check.
  14. Hi Guys, After a relocation of my server I had some issues with the hard drives, but having two parties with only seven drives seems to have covered most of it. I had disks dropping out, but could reassign them after fixing some minor hardware issues (lose cable, etc) and had to xfs_repair a drive. Now I'm running a parity check and it has over 500k corrected errors. Might there be some corrupted/lost data? I attached diagnostics and extended SMART checks for the two dropping drives. knowlage-smart-20200718-0946.zip knowlage-smart-20200718-0945.zip knowlage-diagnostics-20200718-2019.zip
  15. Welcome to the Community mate. U dug up a one year old thread - you should really open a new one instead
  16. It's back online - what would be the correct procedure if the disk drops again? The short SMART looks good, I'm running the extended check now.

  18. Hi guys, I had a disk dropped out of the array. I tried to bring it back online by using new-config. I checked "parity is valid" as I do have two parity disks and the checked just finished a couple of hours ago. Now the disk is "Unmountable: No file system" - what shall I do? have I lost data? knowlage-diagnostics-20200717-0857.zip
  19. I'm using a TBG 3000 VFI model and it looks pretty well. All metal, good LCD, no dangling, etc. Great connectivity, but it'll take time till I can really tell. For now I can't tell a difference between this, an apc or cyberpower - but having spent as little as $450 for 2700 watts battery for a VFI standard with the possibility to attach external batteries feels damn right.
  20. Update here: Bluewalker/Powerwalker works.
