  1. I don't see an option to do it with user scripts - I can check if the array is running, but I can't trigger the script for an event.
  2. It's not a 50/50 thing for me, both nics do get a new Mac. Not a random random of two, but just a new Mac on every reboot. Also, I don't run them aggregated (yet). I would expect a stable Mac and I'm certain it used to be stable.
  3. The board has two mics, but I get an new Mac every time I reboot It's an Asus x299 mark1.
  4. The topics says it all... What I want to do is invoke "unmount /var/lib/docker" when stopping the array. Otherwise It could never shutdown, which would be quite an issue if I run in a black out and the UPS can't stop the server!
  5. It seems my server generates a new MAC for the building NIC whenever I reboot. This makes it basicly impossible to assign a static address to it. Why is this happening and can I prevent this?
  6. It happens event if don't actually do anything, just having the thing up and running.. It says No Idea how to stop it. umount /var/lib/docker Fixes it... no Idea what to do with that...? Edit: Add a script using "User Scripts" to invoke "unmount /var/lib/docker" on array shutdown. Done.
  7. I rebooted by server and it won't boot anymore. I just get a blank cursor. I tried checking and reparing the flash drive, but nothing changed. Usually I boot in legacy mode, I did try to boot in uefi, but I'm getting stuck after the bzimage (as seen on the screenshot). What Can I try/do!? Edit: Tried a different Flash drive, no effect PRO Tech: Hey, have you tried turning it off and on again? ME: YAY! Brilliant! That worked! Summary: My board does not like reboots from unraid, but if you POWER DOWN and UP again, it's fine!
  8. knowlage-diagnostics-20200715-1935.zip Hi Guys, when I try to shutdown the array, it just hangs with "Retry unmounting disk share(s)..." forever. Same when I try to shutdown docker... What's wrong, what can I do here?
  9. A disk just dropped with during a parity check. The Smart report is attached, is it dead or shall I just reboot? knowlage-smart-20200715-2053.zip
  10. I'm looking into PowerWalker as they have a great range of VFI UPS - I found some evidence on the Forums, but I'd like to have another confirmation. Otherwise I'll check Cyberpower.
  11. Do these provide suffient power to shut down the server? which could take a couple of minutes... I'm looking into something like the "CyberPower Professional Tower Serie 1500VA" - is this oversized?
  12. Hi Guys, I'm looking to get an UPS for my tower. As I do use some VGA's there I'd need an output voltage of over 1000W. APC has some great solutions, but those are quite expensive. I found BlueWalker and CyberPower (and FSP) alternatives which are way more suited for my price range. Are these manufacturers supported by unraid?
  13. Hi guys, I was running a parity check, when it was about to complete my server seems to have rebooted and restarted the check. No power-outage or whatsoever... I attached the diagnostics and log. Any idea what happened? I saw this happening already once, but didn't pay attention back then. knowlage-diagnostics-20200702-1023.zip knowlage-syslog-20200702-0824.zip
  14. Hi guys, My Array has two parity disks and several others. Some of those are quite small but contain data. I'd like to remove 5 drives and (potentially) replace those with one large. I have sufficient space to just move data away from the small ones without a new drive, however I'd like to keep the usage somewhat balanced. My General Idea would be to add the new drive, set all the drives I want to remove to be excluded from all shares. Then use unBalance to move all data from the small disks. Now the tricky part: Can I just use "New config" and remove 5 drives? Having two Parities in place? Or is there a better approach for what I am planing to do? P.S: - Removing disks one by one with parity rebuilds would take forever - I also read something about zeroing the disks I want to remove...?

    VPN Provider?

They seem very similar to air and just support 36 countries. I'm looking for a provider with around 100+ countries.

    VPN Provider?

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a "good" VPN provider. I've been using airvpn, but they have only a very limited amount of possible locations/servers. NordVPN isn't an option. I'd like to have something which keeps my data private and offers a good variety of locations and is configurable with the usual vpn containers (aka supports openvpn). Any Suggestions/Experience?
  17. I found out, that the nextcloud container seems not to be reachable via the name, if I use the server ip, it's fine. every other container works fine.
  18. How can I drill down the issue? I haven't remaned the container and the port is pretty straight forward. It work for several other containers, but not for nextcloud.
  19. Stupid questions, which is the docker folder support thread?!
  20. Hi, erm... knowlage-diagnostics-20200504-0902.zip I can also see another pop up appearing very short before that one, it seems to say "docker folder error". Dockers are up and running fine. What shall I do?
  21. here is an example for a registry, that used to work and have stopped mcr.microsoft.com/mssql/server:2019-latest Maybe it helps debugging whats wrong
  22. Hi Guys, A while ago it was allright to add a container from a registry like dockerhub or a private one and unraid would detect updates to the container. Now I seem to always just get a "not available" - what happens or how can I fix it?
  23. Hi, I'm trying to use the linuxserver nextcloud container with this reverse proxy. Threre is not much needed in terms of configuration, which I have done. All I get is a 502 from nextcloud What are the common mistakes and how can I find out what isn't working? I have some other containers just working fine using the reverse proxy, but nextcloud doesn't.
