  1. Is it possible to change your user display name without having to create a new account?
  2. +1 on this. Very hard for some, like me, to read white on black. Edit: Missed the sticky, this is already done, thanks guys.
  3. I'm trying to understand if my SSD is going bad or just being worked heavy. I just recently added a second drive to create my pool. When writing to the Cache, are all drives in the pool written to at the same time and rate? I have noticed that the new drive runs much much cooler than my existing drive. They are the exact same model, one just a year or two newer. Previously, I just thought the SSD ran hot and it was normal. But with the new drive, Im wondering if its not supposed to be getting that hot. Thoughts?
  4. I did some googling and saw a lot of similar issues were connection related. I switched out the sata cable and all is good for now.
  5. I just added a Parity 2 Drive to my array this week. I ran it through preclear first and then added to the array. It added to the array just fine and was working for the last few days until this AM. I started a parity check, but I am not sure that will fix the issue. This is what I see when trying to check SMART status. Is the drive just bad? Is there something else I need to check or run?
  6. Can anyone point me in the right direction on Auto Fan, it seems to have no impact. Is there a guide specific to this plug in? Bios only has standard and full speed and is not reading HDD temps. I currently have standard selected. 98% of the time the standard is fine, but during Parity checks things heat up a little higher than I like. But the CPU seems to stay cool enough for the system not to ramp up the fans. I'd be OK with full speed fans for the duration of the run, but other times it is just extra noise not needed.
  7. Ahh, OK. I just saw "X10" support and thought they would all have it. So is there any alternative way to control fans out side of bios? Bios only has standard and full speed and is not reading HDD temps. 98% of the time the standard is fine, but during Parity checks things heat up a little higher than I like. But the CPU stays cool so the fans do not ramp up. I'd be OK with full speed fans for the duration of the run, but other times it is just extra noise not needed. Is there another software approach that would work with my type of board? Is there a hardware solution?
  8. Is this plugin still supported? I see this when installing but still finishes. plugin: skipping: freeipmi-1.4.11-x86_64-3.txz - unRAID version too high, requires at most version 6.1.99 But then no senors are displayed.
  9. Is there a benefit to BIOS? Also notice your on a newer firmware version, think this has any practical impact?
  10. Clear is still running, but I have been doing a bunch of googling. I think this indicates the card is in IT mode, can anyone confirm? 11. I am unsure, how could I check this? Do you have a link to a guide?
  12. First off, thank you. When connecting directly to SATA, the drives mounted no problem. I can breath again, thank you. But now I have another question. I added two brand new disks to the same slots I removed the old ones from and they added to array and started pre-clear right away. Does this mean they will be OK? Do you think only the old disks were impacted by the hardware change? Can I just copy the data from the old disks to the new once clear is complete and then re-add and format the old disks back into the array?
  13. I just moved my system from a desktop computer into a SuperMicro 24 bay case I got used. The case came with 3 cards as well. Adaptec ASR 5405 IBM RAIDServer M1015 HP 36 port SAS Expander First I tried connecting the Expander into the Adaptec, but UnRaid could not see any of the disks. Not sure if this matters, but trying to be thorough. So then I tried the IBM card and UnRaid was able to see all the disks and started the array. The problem is that two of my disks are now displaying "Unmountable: Unsupported partition layout". Both of the disks were completely full, so I am really trying to find a way to recover the 8TB of missing data. I tried to mount the disks from Unattached Devices, but it was unable to mount as well. Please advise what I can try to get these fixed. Thank you in advance for your help. server-syslog-20180821-1708.zip
