  1. I love how unraid just works. Adding capacity, upgrading drives to be bigger, all incredibly simple operations! I would love to see deeper docker integrations: easier container updates, native swarm support.
  2. I dont know why I haven't tried this yet, but I am going to let a Memtest run overnight, see what happens. Maybe it was just bad ram I got
  3. Update: Not solved =( Still only sees 8GB of RAM, and my BIOS screen is all messed up. Just started cycle booting again. Hello everyone! I am having a really weird issue and I was hoping someone else had some advice to try. Basically my computer was working fine til I upgraded the BIOS to clear up a RAM issue, now the card causes my unRAID box to crash. I do not have an option to downgrade back to the old BIOS(I had v3, on the gigabyte page they only have v4, v5, v6, and I have tried them all). I am considering RMAing the mobo, but if I am just missing something I would appreciate some help =) I have the following build: Motherboard: GA-H61MA-D3V PSU: Corsair CX430M CPU: Intel i3-3220 Sandy Bridge HDDs: 1 WD Black(unused), 1 WD Red 3TB(Parity), 3 WD Red 3TB(Data) CPU Cooler: Water Cooling - Zalman LQ-320 RAM: 8GB GSkill Sniper So today what I endeavored to do was upgrade this rig with the following: - 16GB Crucial Ballistix - IBM M1115(same as M1015) - Switch to ESXi from just unRAID And here is what happened: - First I added the RAM and the card at the same time. The server would not boot at all, and I noticed if I took out a stick of RAM(only 2 8GB sticks) it would boot. So I kept the stick out and went on with it, figured I would deal with it later. - Next I cleared the raid card, and crossflashed it to 2118IT.bin the newest version off of the LSI webpage(17 I believe). - That went swimmingly. - I fired up my unRAID and it worked! My array started up, so did all of my plugins. - Next I started to fiddle with the RAM issue. When I went to my BIOS all of my RAM settings were error values. So I cleared my CMOS and updated BIOS to the newest version. - Now my server sees 16GB of RAM =) Except it won't POST again. This time removing a stick of RAM doesn't help it. The only thing that helps it is removing the M1115 card. So if I do that it boots fine but I have no card, and if I plug it back in weird things happen. Weird Things Happen: - With my M1115 card plugged in, my Motherboard will wirr to life, fans spinning up, etc. for about 5 seconds then it will cut power. It will do this 1-5 times, then it will post. After it posts I get the LSI screen where the card is initializing, then I get a blue screen that says GIGABYTE UEFI BIOS on top and it shuts off after a few seconds. - If I wait, and CTRL+C to get into the card config, I can. So, it is weird. I have another PC(My main) that has a TX750 PSU in it I was going to give a go to see if it were a PSU issue. I also removed ALL HDDs from the PSU to try and give it more juice. I have the M1115 in my main PC now, and it works fine. I re-flashed it and it is still giving me woes when I go back to my unRAID server.
  4. My bad guys this was already posted below, yes you have to use a code, but it is right on the page
  5. Not a great deal but $10 off at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236344&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL110713&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL110713-_-EMC-110713-Latest-_-InternalHardDrives-_-22236344-L0D
  6. I just still found it weird, because I always told all my plugins to go to /mnt/cache and never told it /mnt/user0 even exists. I have rebooted a few times and the issue seems resolved. Hopefully it just doesn't come back.
  7. The file was CouchPotato's Settings.conf. Which I use a plugin to unraid to install couchpotato on startup and it is pointed directly to /mnt/cache/Applications which is my share
  8. Normally no. There Is no cache only share on my array. But right when the server starts up it seems to write a single file over there and the. The mover is thrown off
  9. None of the disks are full. It creates the cache only share on user0 and nothing can right to it because it is cache only share there is no space on my array allocated to the cache only drive
  10. Mainly I want to do it because one disk is above 70% and will be close to 90% by the time my drive comes in
  11. I often times get shares that I list as Cache Only shares to show up in my /mnt/user0 folder. Then when the mover runs, it blows up my error logs and often times I have to reboot my server because it stops responding. It looks like this: Jul 26 04:56:26 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder/logs (28) No space left on device Jul 26 04:56:27 Tower last message repeated 9 times Jul 26 04:56:27 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder/cache (28) No space left on device Jul 26 04:56:58 Tower last message repeated 387 times Jul 26 04:57:18 Tower last message repeated 261 times Jul 26 04:57:18 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder/db_backup (28) No space left on device Jul 26 04:57:19 Tower last message repeated 11 times Jul 26 04:57:19 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder2 (28) No space left on device Jul 26 04:57:50 Tower last message repeated 377 times Jul 26 04:58:51 Tower last message repeated 838 times Jul 26 04:59:07 Tower last message repeated 206 times Jul 26 04:59:08 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder3 (28) No space left on device Jul 26 04:59:39 Tower last message repeated 398 times Jul 26 05:00:40 Tower last message repeated 780 times Jul 26 05:01:41 Tower last message repeated 782 times Jul 26 05:02:42 Tower last message repeated 797 times Jul 26 05:03:28 Tower last message repeated 629 times Jul 26 05:03:28 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder4 (28) No space left on device Jul 26 05:03:59 Tower last message repeated 377 times Jul 26 05:04:07 Tower last message repeated 103 times Jul 26 05:04:07 Tower shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: apps/folder5 (28) No space left on device Jul 26 05:04:38 Tower last message repeated 388 times Jul 26 05:05:39 Tower last message repeated 772 times Jul 26 05:06:40 Tower last message repeated 763 times Jul 26 05:07:41 Tower last message repeated 766 times Jul 26 05:08:42 Tower last message repeated 776 times Jul 26 05:09:43 Tower last message repeated 809 times Jul 26 05:10:44 Tower last message repeated 974 times Jul 26 05:11:45 Tower last message repeated 924 times Jul 26 05:12:46 Tower last message repeated 845 times Jul 26 05:13:47 Tower last message repeated 658 times Jul 26 05:14:48 Tower last message repeated 653 times Jul 26 05:15:49 Tower last message repeated 768 times Jul 26 05:16:50 Tower last message repeated 795 times Jul 26 05:17:00 Tower last message repeated 150 times I really don't know what is causing that share to be created on user0, but if I move the one or two files that went to user0 back to my cache drive and delete the share off of the user0 it seems to work right. Any ideas? I'm going to update tonight, but I am on rc12a currently. It seems to happen out of the blue. There is no mention of user0 other than it being initialized, then once the server is up it just starts doing this. I will get hundreds of thousands of errors logged
  12. If I change the split level of something, is there an easy way to distribute it across another disk. Or my precise example. I have an array that is the following: WD3TB-Red - Parity WD3TB-Red - Disk1 WD3TB-Red - Disk2 WD BLACK 500GB - Cache Both my my main disks in the array are approaching 70% full and I am looking to get another disk. When I get the new disk I want to spread the files from Disk1 and Disk2 on to Disk3. I can MANUALLY do this, and it wouldn't be that hard. But my question is, is the mover script or anything like that smart enough to do this?
  13. So far so good, maybe it is a simplefeatures issue
  14. I will give that a try. Any idea why a clean boot of 5rc11 was giving my monitor(like VGA monitor hooked up to the box) errors looking for the simplefeatures plg files on first boot(and gave file not found errors) with no plugins folder on the flash drive? This is more of a side question, I will post back results tomorrow when the gui freezes again
  15. Is there an easy way to remove SF webgui? When i booted the flash drive for the first time with no plugins at all unraid was showing me errors in the console about simplefeatures plugin file not found

  17. I am having an issue with my unraid webgui. I am using the latest RC11 build. I have tried reformatting my flash drive however after I click on like 5 pages in the settings tab of simplefeatures it just crashes. Google Chrome gives me Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out. Is this a common issue/is there any fix? I can still get to all of my applications(Sab/Sick/Couch/Plex) and I can telnet into the box, I just can't get to the webgui.
