  1. This is great news! I very much appreciate the response on this. This community is amazing and I can't wait to upgrade my setup.
  2. I used a very old FoxConn MB and AMD Phenom processor to evaluate unraid and determine if I wanted to commit. I love it so now I'd like to re-use my license (USB stick) to run unraid on a Dell R720 server (or equivalent). I don't care what's currently on the 6 drives I have loaded on the FoxConn MB. I'm more interested to see if it's possible to just unplug the USB from one and pop into the other and just start running. I've searched the community for an answer, but I haven't seen a scenario similar to this even though this can't be that unique. If anyone knows of an existing thread on this topic or the answer......please share. I am so impressed with unraid and can't wait to throw some more capable hardware at it to see where else it will take me. Thanks in advance!
  3. I'd like to be able to rename the disks or at least display a name that is more descriptive than disk 1, disk 2, etc. It would be useful to know that disk 1 is an SSD, HD or NVME when setting up shares and pools. Just a thought.....
  4. OMG I can't believe I didn't realize the ATM7 was an actual minecraft server instance.....it makes sense now because we didn't see any changes to the inventory or how the world looks.....nothing really. I just thought maybe those mods had to be unlocked somehow and that was going to be another quest.....I'm glad you cleared that up! I'll have my kids give port 12345 a run and see how that goes. Again, really appreciate the help and all the work you put into this for the community. I'm finding that a lot of people on here really know their stuff and hope I can someday contribute.
  5. That was exactly what I needed and made complete sense. I went with option 1. It took a very long time to load all 300+ mod packs, but I think most of them went in without errors. I don't think it's necessary to chase down all the errors / warnings in the log. Do I need to restart one or both of the containers for the changes to take effect? Is there an order that they should be started? I'd think it would be the ATM7 started first then wait until the log is finished with loading all the mods then start the minecraft container.....but I don't know. And last question for now (sorry)....how can I tell if the mods are loaded while playing the game? And how do I buy you a beer or coffee?
  6. Brand new to unraid. I was successful at setting up the binhex minecraft container and my kids are enjoying playing in their own world. Now they would like the mod packs so I installed ATM7, but I don't know how to "connect" that to the minecraft container -- if that's even how it's stated. I do know that I can't have both of them running on the same port so is it a matter of copying the jar files from the ATM7 into the binhex minecraft installation or does it require something else like parameters or modifying the server.properties file? I'm new to unraid, linux, dockers, etc. but I'm a software developer so I can follow bread crumbs -- I just have yet to find anything definitive on youtube or on this forum/community that addresses this so I'm just guessing it's basic knowledge if you're into this stuff everyday. Sorry if it sounds like I have no clue, but I'm just trying to get to the next milestone of success so I can keep expanding on my knowledge of Unraid, dockers, vms, etc. Any help is very much appreciated!
