  1. I'm very new to WOL (Wake On LAN) and server backups in general. I could not find what I was looking for on the Unraid forums. I want to schedule my backup server to WOL and then a few min later schedule LuckyBackup to sync my data and then at completion for the backup server to go back to sleep. My primary server is on the same network and would be sending the WOL signal and running the LuckyBackup app. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this? The right WOL app to use with Unraid? Do I need to run scripts for this? If there is a guide already made please send it to me. I can't find any concrete info.
  2. I have 3 pools right now, a gen4 NVME Cache drive, an SSD drive which I intend to remove, and a slower NVME drive which will be a cache appdata backup. Do you think having an appdata backup is unnecessary? Tell me if I'm wrong, the way I understand it some files don't get moved to the array so I was just thinking they should be be backed up someplace. One other quick question: I have a Gen4 NVME in my array as well to run video editing projects on thinking it would read a lot faster but it seems to be writing at the same speeds as the other HDDs. Do you think that is unnecessary because it will automatically revert to the speed of the slowest drives on the array?
  3. I had thought about removing parity for that reason but it takes over a day to just check it. Maybe it would still be a bit faster though. Here are my diagnostics. Any other ideas or settings to change would be greatly appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20230409-2330.zip
  4. Array's write speeds go from 250mbs to 30mbs within seconds. I'm transferring a whole server worth of data and it seems like it's going to take over a week because of this problem. It should take like 10 hours. Turbo write is on. Cache is temporarily disabled because it fills up so fast. I know I'm writing straight to the array but all of my drives are rated for 250mbs, even the parity, and i have an NVME drive that can do 7000MBS but it seems no matter what drive I try and write to it goes down to 30. I'm running a 10G network at well. It's very frustrating. It seems I have everything configured right but my array's write speed is just so low. Can anyone help shed some light on this?
  5. Hello! It seems the latest Vahiem update broke Valheim Plus and I think something needs to be updated on this docker to fix it. I can't access my server. Please help.
  6. I have 2 Unraid servers. Drives are formatted in the same format. I'm transferring movies to my new server and went back to check to see if all the number lined up and they did not. After recopying the files I realized the numbers were still off so i checked inside the folders and the files are the exact size they should be but the folder that contains them is not the same. It seems like it's this way for all the folders I copy. I can think of 2 possible reasons for this. one there are hidden files I'm unaware of or two the second folder is compressed. Not sure though. Has anyone ran into this? I am providing a picture of Krusader with the folder on the left side which is different and the contents on the right which are the same.
  7. @JorgeB Are you saying that I have to set the gateway on eth0 even though eth2 is the NIC in use? Is there a way to make my NIC eth0 and would that fix the problem?
  8. Just got 10G networking set up. I got a new switch and a new NIC for my server. My older server is running great through the new switch and my new server I thought was running great until I realized it won't connect to the internet. I have bonding turned off. The 10G nic is set to static and is on eth2 because its MAC won't show up in Interface Rules. I have a few pictures for you below. What should I do to get the internet going?

  10. I noticed my webserver was down and went to check my docker containers. They were all disabled and unable to restart so I rebooted. After I rebooted all my containers were gone. I saw that someone had this same issue a few years ago and the problem had to do with a bad hard drive and missing appdata but there was no real resolution to that thread. I just checked my drives and it seems my appdata backup drive which I have under "unassigned devices" is missing. Not sure how that would cause my issue. Can anyone shed some light on this? Here's the link to the thread from 2020:
  11. My 10GB NIC has been down since patch 6.10.2 I just did the new OS update and it did not work. I'm running a Rosewill RC-NIC412v2 card. Here's the link to my previous thread: Unfortunately the vendor for this controller went out of business in 2020, but there is an open pull request which claims to fix the build problems on kernel 5.15+ - any possibility this could be tested for next unraid release? https://github.com/acooks/tn40xx-driver/pull/48
  12. Deleting that config file worked. I'm connected again. Now the issue is my NIC needs a driver. How do I install a driver on unraid? I don't recall needing to do this before.
  13. If I remember right it was v6.3. I did try and use other ethernet ports on my motherboard so I didn't think the NIC would still be the problem.
  14. I have no GUI so i did the command to get diagnostics. It gave me location of a zip file but i'm not sure what drive that location is on. Do you know if the zip file saves to my system flashdrive?
  15. I can't get into my Unraid server anymore after updating. Updated to 6.10-rc4 and i'm getting eth0 does not exist error. I'm running a 10G NIC. I did try to switch to another ethernet port on the MOBO on my server and got the same error. Please help.
