  1. I’ve successfully installed GluetunVPN, and everything seems to be working and connected. However, I’m struggling to get my other Docker container (Stash) to connect and run through the VPN. Here’s what I’ve tried so far on Stash: Network type: None Extra Parameters: --network=container:GluetunVPN Every time I try to start Stash, it shows green for a second, but when I refresh the Unraid page, it’s stopped again. I’m super confused and feeling kind of stuck right now. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Edited for more information. This is what the log says: INFO[2024-09-28 17:15:14] using config file: /root/.stash/config.yml INFO[2024-09-28 17:15:16] [InitHWSupport] Supported HW codecs [0]: INFO[2024-09-28 17:15:16] stash version: v0.27.0 (c45ae068) - Official Build - 2024-09-23 03:04:17 INFO[2024-09-28 17:15:16] stash is listening on 0.0.0.0:9999 INFO[2024-09-28 17:15:16] stash is running at http://localhost:9999/ ERRO[2024-09-28 17:15:16] http server error: listen tcp 0.0.0.0:9999: bind: address already in use
  2. I've noticed that it also occurs for me when dealing with a large number of files. While it won't be a major inconvenience for me since I'm planning to wipe and encrypting my disk, I'm hopeful that this can be resolved in a future update.
  3. Hello everyone. I know it is a dumb question (to most people), but I wanted to make sure before anything and ask all you intelligent people first. I have 8x HDD in my current setup. Those 8x HDDs are plugged into a RAID Controller Card (8x PCIe). This card is plugged into my x16 PCIe slot, so no issues. I want to expand my m.2 (to 4x additional m.2) storage, so I am considering getting an adapter like the one here. Here is my dilemma: My motherboard only has the following expansion slots: 2 x PCI Express 4.0 x16 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x1 My question is: Would a perceived performance drop if I plug the RAID Controller Card into the PCI Express 3.0 x1? I know it can "technically" work, and I know the speed difference between the two formats but I am unsure of the outcome. My server uses are media (using Plex/Emby) and as a backup for my files. I access files off of it but not for editing (photos, videos, etc.).
  4. @JorgeBFirst, thank you for the response. I will give it a shot. I just recently uninstalled then reinstalled the drivers and once I boot out of safe mode, I will give it a shot. Do I need the drivers if all I am using it for is transcoding (yes, dumb question, I just do not want to assume at this point)?
  5. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
  6. Hello everyone. I have my Unraid device for a while now but I have been having some issues lately that I can not solve. After about 1-3 days days of use, my WebGUI stops working but all my Docks (that I can tell) still work. I can also access my drives from my devices without issue. I tried to use terminal to send a shutdown command but it doesn’t work. I already bought a new USB thinking it was that, nope. Also, right before it started being a pain, I was able to stop the array but when I went to restart/shut down, it wont. Plugins: Disabled, will update when not in safe mode Updates: update 1 (12 Mar 23 @ 1200) I am running a mem test now. Will update with results update 2 (12 Mar 23 @ 1851) mem test finished, 4 passes. no issues. I have booted into safe mode and have no dockers and plugins running. Will run this for a couple days, see what happens. I have also enabled SYSLOG SERVER. update 3 (14 Mar 23 @ 0416) Unraid has been running fine in safe mode with all dockers and plugins off. I am keeping it it safe mode and I am going to start Emby. I did a SMART test on all my my hard drives and at some point overnight, they completed. No errors. If there is any other information I can provide, please let me know. I have attached the syslog and diagnostics. server-syslog-20230312-1521.zip server-diagnostics-20230311-0807.zip
  7. @JonathanM, Awesome, I thought that was what it was, just wanted to make sure. Also, good to know about the HDD status. It is under warranty and Seagate was more than willing to replace it so I would rather side with caution. I am probably going to Preclear I just wanted to make sure and know all my options.
  8. Hello everyone. New Unraid user here, probably asking a very basic question, but I would rather ask before I do something stupid. I recently switched from Qnap to my own and Ireused the old drives. Two of the drives are showing "Reallocated sector count." Sucks, but great news, still under warranty so I got with Seagate, and they are sending new ones (exact same size). My question is this: Do I NEED to do a preclear before I install it. I know with a larger replacement drive you do not have to and honestly, I prob will but I want to know for sure. I have searched the forums; read the steps and I just want to make sure I read correctly.
