  1. Not sure if the place is relevant (where if not?). I'm happily using the Binhex Minecraft server on my Unraid machine. The question is: is there a way to manage multiple worlds? Not simultaneously, but I'd like to change which world is handled by the server. Does it make sense?
  2. After learning Unraid and solving the tricks on how to passthrough a 5600G iGPU, now I'm facing a very weird issue: if I launch the Win10 VM everything is fine. When I stop it or restart it, the screen stays black (once i could get to the machine with Splashtop, but i think it was random, never happened again), there's one CPU (only 1 of two paired cores) that hangs at 100 percent, the only solution is rebooting Unraid, sometimes also because the entire Unraid becomes unresponsive (once the entire VM tab disappeared). Any idea of the direction I can look into? Thanks.
  3. I'm trying to understand if I can passthrough my 5600G to a VM...and I found your post. I added the "no GPU" lines to my config file but i still get a video out of Unraid loading...what can i be missing?
  4. Forgive the absolute newbie questions, but this seems the more relevant thread I found so far... ...is it possible to perform video card passthrough with a rig made ONLY by a 5600G and NO video card installed in the PCI slot? I'm dipping my toes in VM's and trying many things but so far I can only run a VM on VNC...the very moment I start fiddling with video passthrough i think I'm missing some important bits of knowledge and maybe all the tutorials I've found take for granted things that are not that obvious 🙂 So, again, the main questions here are 1) can I do GPU passthrough having only the integrated graphic of a 5600G? 2) am i supposed to get the video out of the HDMI? I'm asking because that seems to be taken by the Unraid CLI 3) (or 2bis) - how do i know passthrough is successful, other than the HDMI out at point 2? Can I still use VNC or RDP to get to a machine which had a successful passthrough? Thanks for your patience
  5. it's the second time it happens...after using it normally for long time...i add another path that points to /isos and when i update the settings the app disappears from the docker list and i can only reinstall it. Ever happened to anyone?
  6. Hi everyone, it's my very first post so please accept apologies if this has been asked a lot already. I'm still familiarising with Unraid (loving it!) and the immense amount of documentation around, so sometimes I struggle finding answers 🙂 One of the first things I'm trying to understand is: can I passthrough the iGPU in my rig to use a VM? Aside many other things I'm doing with Unraid for storage, I stumbled across a old tutorial about running Lakka on Unraid as a VM. All the setup makes sense, but when I run the VM I get a black screen only, and I'm assuming this is because in theory the host machine has already taken control of the video out. Is that right? So now my second thought would be attaching a cheap graphic card if this one can be "addressed" to Unraid and use the AMD integrated for other roles. Does this make sense? I read and I totally understand the "headless" philosophy of Unraid and in fact I'm perfectly ok in managing it from the web interface remotely...hence my doubt/question "why Unraid seems to take control of the GPU?" and "how can I break this chain and use the GPU somewhere else?" Thanks for your patience and eventual support
