  1. Does the unraid creation tool not format the Drive automatically? I don't see a place to change the settings for which filesystem to use
  2. Hello, I have an AMD 3960X processor in a Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme TRX40 motherboard. I have used this combo in the past for Unraid but am having trouble getting a new server set up with this same hardware again. My processor does not have an integrated GPU but I do have a discrete graphics card plugged into the bottom most slot on my board and that is what my HDMI connects through. I've attached screenshots of my BIOS settings below in case I'm missing something silly. I've followed the guide from SpaceInvaderOne and am trying to set this up using legacy mode so that I will be able to pass my GPU through to docker containers or a VM in the future properly. When I go to boot to the usb drive it has a blinking command line for about 20 seconds and then says the device was not bootable, press any key to try again. If I choose the UEFI version of the same drive it just kicks out and fails right away. If I change my BIOS settings from how the screenshots show and turn CSM off, then I get the same result when booting to just the drive. If I have CSM off and boot to the UEFI version of the drive then I DO get the Unraid boot menu. I hit the down arrow for GUI mode and it has lots of text on the screen for 1-2 minutes and then it just goes to a blinking curser, but never actually shows me the GUI. if I press CTRL+ALT+DEL then it gives text again to show that the server is trying to shut down. So it seems EUFI mode in my BIOS and the UEFI drive sorta gets the server going, but I would be forced to use a separate device to access the GUI (not the end of the world). My main worry is that I'll end up having future issues with pass through because I'm using UEFI and not legacy this way. My goal is to find what setting is stopping me from booting this drive using legacy mode and to figure out why I'm unable to actually see the GUI on the machine locally. If there are any other logs / information I can provide to help troubleshoot this I will happily do so! 4. Hello, I was using Plex last night when a message came up on the screen saying that it could not reach the server. Both my unraid server and my apple tv are hardwired in to the same router and connect local so I thought that was strange. Using my laptop I saw the same thing, it could not connect to the Plex docker container (binhex-plex) but the logs for the docker container did not show anything strange. I rebooted the server hoping that would resolve whatever was happening but now I get a message in the binhex-plex logs saying 2023-04-27 23:42:12,663 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: Failed to load preferences at /config/Plex Media Server/Preferences.xml If I open terminal and manually navigate to /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-plex/Plex Media Server then I AM able to find the preferences.xml file. So I'm not sure why plex suddenly stopped working and after a reboot can no longer find this needed file. Upon further research, it looks like nGinxProxyManager is also having problems. I am able to open the webui to view all of the different routes I have set up but if I navigate to a domain I have previously had set up then it no longer connects to the container. It gives the " Congratulations! You've successfully started the Nginx Proxy Manager. If you're seeing this site then you're trying to access a host that isn't set up yet. Log in to the Admin panel to get started." screen. If I manually navigate to the docker container using the local IP and port then it loads the contents of that container just fine. Most of my other containers are having similar problems. They either cannot start properly anymore, or they say they are starting but they are not working properly. The data on the AppData cache drive is still there, and from what I can tell the path is correct, but the docker containers cannot find it anymore. I'm not sure why this would have happened suddenly. No changes were made while I was streaming using plex. I tried using the plugin for CA Backup / Restore Appdata but it shows that there are no backups available to restore. What logs would be useful here to determine what happened to all of my docker containers? Does this seem like the type of thing that I can restore or will I be stuck in some way to wipe my appdata cache drive and reinstall everything from scratch?
  5. Bnihex-deluge shows freespace decreasing I was told to post in this thread for some advice, when I look at the available space on my array from the main tab of unraid it says that the array has 82.0TB available, when I open the deluge webUI it currently says 77344.1GB but is decreasing by 0.1-0.2 every second. All of my torrents were completed downloading and seeding and I have since paused everything as well but the freespace is still decreasing. This seems like a deluge error since the main tab of unraid shows that the freespace is not changing. Any ideas what could be causing this and how I can fix it so that I actually have the freespace I'm supposed to? If someone could walk me through exporting logs from deluge that would be great as well as I don't see an option in the WebUI to do that. TIA

  7. Hello, I've been running an unraid server for a hot minute now and recently did a big upgrade (new motherboard, new cpu, added a few nvme drives, etc). I used the same USB drive to boot to to load up the server again. Afterwards, it looks like all of my docker containers no longer exist. I'm having trouble identifying which cache pool / ssd they were stored on before. I'm assuming that the drives got swapped around and so that's why the system looks like it has none installed now. I've manually checked that the same devices were in the same places as they were before but still no docker containers available. Further, I'm unable to connect to my server from a remote machine in order to look at the SMB shares to see if the data still exists. I'm worried that everything is lost now from some configuration problem after the upgrade and I'm not sure which steps to take to get it back. It would be a nightmare to go through and set up all of the docker containers again so I'd really love a way to recover them. Please let me know what logs / settings screenshots you need to try and help me in diagnosing this. I'm still pretty new to unraid but I've been trying to read through the docs, if you have any resources that would be especially helpful in this situation I would appreciate those too! TIA
