    So I've started encountering the dreaded "Cannot Launch in VM" issue in Empyrion Galactic Survival 1.18, which has updated to the latest version of EAC in recent weeks. Prior to this I'd been playing it for years in my gaming VM. All of the changes in this thread have been applied, and none seem to work. Very frustrating. I'm exploring other options, but it seams like EAC has been updated to be more strict about detecting VMs. Has anyone else encountered similar issues in mid-2026? Any solutions, or are EAC just really clamping down on VM gaming? (which I don't really understand - I'm not trying to cheat - I just want to play games I paid for )
