  1. SUCCESS Here's hoping I don't have to deal with that again.
  2. Not to necro my own thread a month later but I figure I would provide an update. I was able to get an external drive to make a backup. Took like 36 hours but it eventually got it all (I'm fairly sure). When I booted the server up it showed the disk in question had a smart error (image attached). After running another extended test it didn't show any errors (funny how that works huh). I'm going to try and get some time this week to swap out the cable to the drive before attempting a rebuild. smol-vault-diagnostics-20250716-2049.zip
  3. With the disk passing the smart test, would I be able to ignore the sector read errors from the May 1st parity check? (First diags zip, syslog.txt) Additionally would I be able to backup what I find on the emulated disk/array before doing the rebuild to say, an external drive?
  4. smol-vault-diagnostics-20250611-0752.zip
  5. I've been able to get back to the server. I checked all the connections and everything seemed fine. Booted up to the webGUI and it's wanting to overwrite Disk2. I haven't gotten a disk to replace it yet so I'm obviously not going to do that. smol-vault-diagnostics-20250609-2020.zip Boot SysLog.txt
  6. Just making sure there any more logs needed before the shutdown. I'll get back with the post-reboot/check when I have access the the server again.
  7. Just assuming it would have to be after a reboot? The disk doesn't show up until I go into maintenance mode but after selecting it, it'll default back to "no device".
  8. It's been a while since I last checked on my sever due to life getting in the way and this was the first day I had been able to actually sit down and use my PC. Turns out that my server disabled one of my disks on 6/5 (checking on 5/8) I do see a lot of system logs from the 5th but I can't really make heads or tails of if beyond sector read errors. I also can't access the SMART stats since it's been disabled. Anyone able to throw me a bone? I;m more just curious as to why. At this point I'm waiting for a sale on drives and I'm just going to replace all of them. smol-vault-diagnostics-20250608-1855.zip SysLog Since June 5.txt
  9. I'm not exactly sure what's going on with reporting the total amount of storage used within Windows but I have times where it'll report that I have 668GB of 11.1TB free and other (most) times where I have 432GB of 10.9TB free. I'm not sure where that extra 200GB are going.
  10. Is the issue of Plex constantly writing to the array still in the air? I had to shutdown during a power outage and in 4 days of uptime and not writing much if at all to the server myself, I'm at ~25.5mil writes and ~19.5mil reads. All the storage devices and cache are xfs.
  11. Back in action, everything copied over. I figured this would have had to have happened, I was just missing the steps in between, also needing to make sure I wasn't crazy. (That's still up for debate though)
  12. Pictures attaches, user and user0 Seems that it is, picture attached. I know when I make a new share that already exists, (ie minecraft) it makes it but doesn't add anything to the list. Everything I dumped to my server dumped to the cache, and then at 8pm every night it dumped the cache to the array, so "yes"? Really could use better names imo
  13. I got it back to where I can see it within Windows. I have absolutely *no clue* how the "/mnt/user/rootshare" got turned into "/mnt/rootshare" I *know* I had a spot for it in the shares tab though. I had it set up to use the cache, and I know that I haven't my mapping on my laptop which still has it as "\\Smol-Vault\Rootshare"
  14. It's been a year or two since I made the share but I believe I probably did.
  15. As far as I know, these were the only plugins I've ever had installed. And yes, all my files that were stored on there are kept within rootshare. I do have this inside the Samba extra configuration, which is how I started it in the first place.
