7.0.1 New disk disabled and emulated after rebuilding
Any idea why this would happen as the drive is brand new

7.0.1 New disk disabled and emulated after rebuilding
I have replaced some drives in my array and shrunk it to remove some of the old smaller capacity disks, since then the new drives have been fine until after the final parity rebuild where now one of the new drives is showing as disk disabled and emulated. Attached is also the SMART test result for disk3 the one in question. Any ideas why this would be happening, it is a new drive with new cables. str8nas-diagnostics-20250313-1132.zip WDC_WD85PURZ-85C4WY0_WD-RD0EWPRE-20250313-1133.txt

Device is disabled, Contents emulated v7.0.0
@JorgeB thank you, I have followed the steps you linked until point 6, but haven't restarted the array, is it correct that "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started", if this is the case is it rebuilding from parity 2 as parity 1 is also showing "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started" or do I need to do something else. If so can I replace disk4 with another drive before the rebuild as I want to swap it for a 8tb anyway or do I need to rebuild with the current disk4 and then swap it afterwords?

Device is disabled, Contents emulated v7.0.0
Hi, After changing motherboard and CPU everything was fine until I rebooted a few times, suddenly two of the drives, Parity 1 and disk 4 are showing as Parity Device is disabled and Device is disabled, Contents emulated respectively. I have swapped the drives around using different ports on the motherboard and different cables with no change. I have 2 new drives I can put in however would the data still be safe? Should I replace disk 4 and rebuild with one parity disk then replace the parity? Replace them both at the same time? Or something else? str8nas-diagnostics-20250224-1003.zip

New Config 7.0.0
Thank you@JorgeB, I have reconnected disk8, would you recommend reassigning them all in the same positions to check everything is fine? Also should I tick parity is already valid

New Config 7.0.0
Please help. I wanted to remove a drive from my array, so I selected new config but I didn't preserve current assignments, now I don't know which drives where my parity drive when I reassign the drives, and I don't want to lose any data. I have the drive I wanted to remove and it is working. str8nas-diagnostics-20250212-1436.zip
