  1. Okay I don't know why but it just start downloading
  2. Hi all! Today I reset my router so some of my internet config has changed. I believe my internet is accessible ( I can visit CA and check docker discription, icons, authors etc.) but once I download plugin "IPMI Tool" it says Is this a DNS config error? I tried "8.8.8.8" and "114.114.114.114" (this is the free DNS server in my country) but both failed. Happy Dragon Boat Festival! northernlight3s-diagnostics-20230621-2054.zip

  4. I also want to mention that this problem seems only occur when UNRAID server already runs for a period of time. When I just reboot, it seems I can upload and download as normal. But some time (last time it was a few hours after reboot, but this time it was almost 5 days) later this problem will happen and I will not be able to manage my files.
  5. @JorgeB Hi thanks for your reply! I really appreciate your help!!! 6. Problem: cannot save files to UNRAID server Hello everyone, mine UNRAID was working fine but today I got a serious problem where none of my files can be uploaded to the server anymore. I've been trying to use docker "File Browser", plug-in "Dynamix File Manager", as well as the WEBDAV & SMB sharing from windows, but none of them works. When I was trying see the syslog, it appears that the system was reporting: May 29 19:24:56 NorthernLight3s shfs: command failed: 1 Anyone has any idea? northernlight3s-diagnostics-20230529-1937.zip
  7. I was trying to have a 10min delay on auto mount remote drive to my unraid everytime the array start. The drive I intended to mount is actually a share from my VM. I need a few minutes after the boot to let the VM start. I had the following script but didn't work. Do you find any problem on my script? It didn't work. #!/bin/bash # Wait for 10 minutes before attempting to mount the shared drives sleep 600 # Define the shared drive information nl3s-vm-dsm="//192.168.4.172/nl3s_appdata backup" nl3b="//192.168.4.216/nl3s_appdata backup" # Mount the shared drives mount -t cifs -o username=marco,password=19980928MMCmmc "$nl3s-vm-dsm" /mnt/remotes mount -t cifs -o username=marco,password=19980928MMCmmc "$nl3b" /mnt/remotes # Verify if the drives are mounted successfully if mountpoint -q /mnt/remotes; then echo "Shared drives mounted successfully." else echo "Failed to mount one or more shared drives." fi northernlight3s-diagnostics-20230524-2340.zip

  9. I'd say 16gb is definitely not enough if you plan to run VMs. Start with at least 32gb.
  10. Oh and I am not sure if 13900K's igpu can be used to codec in plex or jellyfin right now
  11. These are very powerful hardware. The only problem I can think about is expandability. Your Z790 mobo comes with one PCIE_X16 slot and dual PCIE_X4 slots. You said you want to run 1-2 VMs on this machine, assuming you plan to add a graphic card on PCIE_X16, then you only left two PCIE_X4 slots for your future 10Gig card and SAS controller cards for sata expansion(you already used all 6 SATA ports on mobo). 10Gig cards on x4 is more expensive and most SAS controller cards are running on x8. An alternative would be mobo with on-board 10Gig ethernet ports, which will save you a pcie slot. Then use sata expansion card if you want to add HDDs in the future.
  12. There's a plug-in called file activity which monitors the file moving. I am not sure if it can help but worth a try.
  13. Agree Unraid is my favorite due to it's ease on add different volume disks but I was always wondering why it didn't have a smart cache system. In my synology nas there's a screen display the hit rate of my ssd cache and I really wish the same on my unraid server.
  14. I really appreciate your build! It's very handy! I see someone on github also mentioned about NVME ssds not showing up. I have the same issue here, where the NVME drives can't be recognized by your handy plug-in. And I have the output of "lsscsi -u -g" and "lsscsi": I am currently running UNRAID 6.12.0-RC2 with 2 identical Gloway Basic 256G NVME ssd cache, and force scan can successfully find my 2 nvme drives, but it just can't be find under "tray allocation" tab. BTW I want to mention that the 2 NVME was not able to be recognized by UNRAID at the same time before UNRAID 6.12.0-RC2 maybe because of the global duplicate IDs. I posted this problem on UNRAID forums and supports replied me to update to this UNRAID 6.12.0-RC2 version which solved the recognize difficulties in UNRAID. I am not a professional but do you think disk location may have the same global duplicate ID issue here? The thread I posted on UNRAID forum: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/137442-solvednew-nvme-not-visible-globally-duplicate-ids/#comment-1248613
  15. Thank you! It works! For those of you who struggle in the same issue, set MTU back to 1500 and reboot.
