Okay, I'll allow it to rebuild to the spare new drive, that makes a lot of sense. I do have the original Disk 4. I plugged it into my Linux Mint box and it has all the files. I can see now all the files that should be in the lost+found folder. I found an old ext HDD and I'm making a backup of about 8TB of data onto another drive. After the rebuild is completed, can I? Delete everything in the lost+found folder? Mount spare HDD Copy the bad data to Disk 4 from my spare HDD?

Do you mean let rebuild finish on the new drive that I bought to replace the original Disk 4? No, unfortunately, I do not have another backup.

Hi, I just completed the extended test for Disk 2, it said: Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error # 1 Extended offline Completed without error 00% 1752 - I'm assuming the full details will be in the diags? Attached a fresh copy. taflix-unraid-diagnostics-20220810-0835.zip I'm leaning towards this being data / power cable issue? I ordered some new cables and they should be delivered by this weekend. I already got new cables the first time, but I guess with most Amazon stuff, quality control is hit or miss.

I still have the original disk. In the other thread, it was giving me read errors. The advice was to just remove it from the array and have UNRAID rebuild it. That process was successful. Then, recently, it started showing disk read errors again. I tried the same solution but it wouldn't rebuild without stopping due to read errors. So, that's when I purchased a new disk.

Disk 4 is a new disk. Does it have to be precleared before adding to the array? Does it have to be formatted? I'm getting this message while Disk 4 is being rebuilt? Looked like it was running well for about 30 seconds but Disk 2 is still getting errors? Should I allow the rebuild process to continue or stop? I'll pause it for now.

Okay, the READ CHECK was 25.7% done when I stopped it and it showed no errors. I started the extended self test, it probabl won't be done until tomorrow. It's at 50% since I started it 10 hrs ago. Happy 4th of July! 🧨
