  1. I just did a disk speed test on each drive and at 0GB they all managed right around 200MB/s. These were one at a time btw.
  2. Ya that's what the new controller is for, so I can add some more disks. Also all of the disks now have a bunch of UDMA CRC errors like 1000's. this happened when I hooked everything up to the new controller. And I assume was caused by it as well. Other than that they don't have any errors.
  3. maple1-diagnostics-20210707-1248.zip Here are the diagnostic files.
  4. Which diagnostics are you referring to and how do I get them?
  5. Well I updated the firmware on the LSI 9300-8i to 16.00.10.00 which is the latest on supermicro's site and now I am only getting 5-20 MB/s 😒. I guess I will try version 17.00.00.00 from broadcom's site tomorrow?
  6. So after doing some troubleshooting I see that in the LSI 9300-8i BIOS I can only see drives attached to ports A, B, C, D, E, F but not on I. But the drives connected to port I show up in UNRAID. I also tried those drives and cable on a different port and they show up fine in the LSI 9300 BIOS. So I'm super confused as to what that means.
  7. I saw your post here about upgrading the firmware from unraid. Is it best to get the firmware from broadcom or from supermicro who made the card I have?
  8. I recently purchased a LSI 9300-8i and an Intel RES3TV360. I have a total of 20 disks connected to the controller, 18 of which are in the array. I have one disk in the array connected via USB 3. I am rebuilding parity so I can then shuck the USB drive and rebuild the data on it connected to the 9300-8i. I am only getting about 50MB/s during my parity rebuild and I'm not sure why. I verified the controller is connected with pcie 3.0 speeds and all 8 lanes. I'm not sure if there is a way to check the link between the RES3TV360 and the 9300-8i. This is my first sas expander so I thought I would get someone with some more knowledge to chime in. Edit I just look in my logs and found a lot of these messages.
  9. It worked! Thanks so much for your help!
  10. Well I finally got around to trying it and I get this error. XML error: Invalid PCI address 0000:01:01.0. slot must be <= 0 and here is my XML.
  11. Ok, so I can just change the slot to be like slot='0x00' slot='0x01' slot='0x02' as long as nothing else is using those? Anything else I need to change there?
  12. Those are just examples, not the actual share names. I guess I should have changed that but I figured that the unraidshare and sharename would explain that. I changed it so it makes more sense.
  13. P.S. trying to add just one more doesn't work either.
  14. I have a VM set up and I have one unraid share passed through and am trying to add 2 more. when I set them up and click update it just sits there and never saves the settings. As a work around can I just add to the xml like this? <filesystem type='mount' accessmode='passthrough'> <source dir='/mnt/user/unraidshare1/'/> <target dir='sharename1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </filesystem> <filesystem type='mount' accessmode='passthrough'> <source dir='/mnt/user/unraidshare2/'/> <target dir='sharename2'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </filesystem> <filesystem type='mount' accessmode='passthrough'> <source dir='/mnt/user/unraidshare3/'/> <target dir='sharename3'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </filesystem> Or do I need to combine them/change the stuff under address? I'm not super familiar with editing the xml.
  15. I'm not talking about the number of the ports on the controller. I am wondering if there are any controllers that are pcie 3.0 x16 for more bandwidth on a single controller.
  16. "Supports 8 inputs and 28 outputs configuration" from the data sheet of the RES3TV360
  17. I am wanting to use just one controller for 28 drives in my system. With a LSI 9300-8i and an Intel RES3TV360 I can get just over 200MB/s on all of the drives during a parity check. While this is fine I would prefer to get max speed if there are pcie 3.0 x16 sas controllers out there. I can't seam to find much when I do a google search.
  18. This is what I get when I add the link from above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hmm, I’m on 14.5.1 as well and the podcast app is up to date. This is what I see when I search for uncast. And this is what I see when I click the link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hmm that link doesn’t work for me. Says it can’t connect right now (Even though I have internet). When I try to search it inside the podcast app a bunch of other podcasts show up but not this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Any chance you guys can put this up on apple podcasts? I would really like to not have to download a different app just for this one.
