OK I've replaced CPU motherboard and memory and found out it was my aio cooler so replaced it and its been up for 12 days and today it froze no response from keyboard no blinking courser so my question is i keep repairing flash drive it keeps saying its corrupted wondering what would cause that also here is syslog syslog-previous (2) syslog (1) tower2-diagnostics-20250609-1857.zip

now it freezes at day 2 with vm on

So I've replaced memory CPU motherboard power supply not hardware I had to switch CPU settings in vm to emulated no more hard resets

Yes I checked power supply with a cheap tester from Amazon and it says a PG 510ms is the only issue I also bought a new Asus power supply 800watt still crashed so I don't think that is the issue also it's in a super micro 4u server so it has two power supplies. I will try that thanks.

So I have narrowed it down to being vm related if I don't start vm it runs for days if I start vm it crashes within 24 hours not sure what to do I tried what you posted it did seem a little better maybe like 2 hours longer but still related to vm anything in my diagnostics to show vm related issues

got syslogs from usb and they are bigger hopefully there is some clue syslog syslog-previous

tested one stick at a time all cause it to crash bought new memory still crashes then unraid is telling me my flash drive is corrupted. orderd new power supply still crashes. so now i ordered new motherboard hoping that is it if not its a bad cpu is my guess its weird with new memory it lasts a little longer before it crashes you know if am5 cpus have isues like this not sure if thats whats next to try tower-diagnostics-20250503-2142.zip

Ok I've narrowed it down a little it's constantly around 3 Days disabled zfs cache pool changed it to btrfs but didn't format it and now it didn't hang at post when it reset so I formated cache drive going to see if it is software related with that partition. in my experience hardware isn't this predictable trying not to spend 150$ per stick of memory without 100 percent knowing its memory tried each memory stick same issue gonna check if there is a second syslog that might help

ok happend agian my motherboard supports ecc memory and i have udimm ecc memory installed just wanted to see if there is a way to test memory that way or is it just a guessing game it seems to be right around 3 day mark of running fine then boom it reboots to freeze at post.

everything seems to be running smoother and snappier so hoping that's it.

have you guys ever seen a 9305-24i IT Mode 24-Port SAS 12Gb/s PCI-E 3.0 Controller Card cause computer to do this because i think that was the issue

what hardware would cause it run fine for days and then just crash randomly and freeze at post just not sure what would cause that. never diagnosed something like that. usually its predictable in my experience its immediate or related to high usage or something. there is no predictability it will run for a week or two with no issues i think there is corruption or something or vm related.

Every time i pin onboard gpu i have to deleting pci-virto file in config in order to boot up unraid because it freezes on line PF_UNIX/PF_LOCAL protocol family. Then I have to delete libvirt image to keep server from frezzing. After vms start. I need help trying to figure this out. is there a way to pin video card in a vm for use in encoding for video editing or not. Really frustrating that this isn't more stream line. It is still sort of related to this post as I've tried to add video card and it basically is repeating the same isue trying to add video card basically makes server unusable trying to figure out what I should say for 2nd post

I got it working by first deleting pci-virto file in config then disabling disk array auto start and then deleting libvirt image what happend I tried to pin video card so I could do some video editing in a vm because my server is the fastest computer I have is there a good way to put a video card in a vm for use in encoding for video editing or not I am at work will post diagnostic when I can.

Server becomes unreachable after boot. after changing gpio to pass through vga to vm and deleted pci.config file to get it to boot after this screen then and dockers dont start now and becomes unreachable trying not to loose config https://forums.unraid.net/topic/140692-6120-system-hangs-on-boot-after-update/

network issue out deleted network config all fixed just need to make sure i dont have another issue with write speed these are 12gb sas drives and they are running about 24 to 30MBs read is about 190MBs not sure why write speed is so slow tower2-diagnostics-20231204-0613.zip

yeah i had two 64gb sticks they both show up in bios I'm thinking its a bad motherboard i bought it used, this is my old setup i ended up buying a Ryzen 7950x ASUS Prime X670-P WiFi Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) Ryzen 7000 ATX but still can only access 1 of my servers from my vpn not sure what the problem is because locally it works. and i can access my old Unraid from vpn is there some firewall on unraid Blocking vpn

anther thing i noticed is my memory is half of what is installed and write speeds are 40mbs this diagnostics is without any pcie installed because cant figure out memory issue and speed issue on hba tower2-diagnostics-20231202-1840.zip

now its back to not working again has anyone had an issue like this or can point me in the right directoin
