  1. Hey Drezin, you ever figure this out? I am trying to get it working now but get untrusted domain error?
  2. Here is my logs I also noticed that the cmd line was being extremely weird like everytime I backspaced it would jump like 8 lines above and add random text don't know if that helps anything just thought I should say it. I also went through these myself didn't see anything weird but I am not that versed on Unraid yet. jaredunraid-diagnostics-20230329-1629.zip
  3. Hello I have been having some trouble in unraid specifically with the GUI once it loads and I login as long as I stay on the main page I can do whatever I want but everytime I leave the main page it is just a matter of time before the GUI just ceases to work anymore. I can get into the command line and do whatever I want but ya know I feel the whole point is to use the GUI that has been provided I am still on trial period as it has just been not working for me at all and so I got an extension. Any logs or files that are needed if you are able to tell me where I need to go to find them I should be able to scp them off that machine to this one but literally any help would be appreciated I have been at this whole build for about a month and I just want it working.
  4. Hey man thanks for your help I think I figured out what is wrong im pretty sure its a dead card even though it shows up and its on onboard monitor says its fine it started to freeze my bios when I was in it and not letting me even load unraid anymore which ive never seen with a pcie device but I unplugged it and now it seems to be doing fine and not freezing and crashing too bad I ordered it a while back and prob wont be able to return thanks for your help though if it didn't start doing that I would still be trying your solutions.
  5. Yea I can see it in the bios it will show the card but I do not see any drives attached to it.
  6. Apologies here are the diagnostics from the server I've had a look myself and haven't found anything out of the ordinary with it. jaredunraid-diagnostics-20230205-2314.zip
  7. Hello everyone I am trying to setup my unraid for the first time and I am having trouble getting my LSI card that is attached to 8 drives to show up properly its model is LSI Broadcom SAS 9300 its heart beat led is blinking normally once every second which I read was good and I also tried a solution from a previous forum that said to append 'pci=realloc=off initrd/bzroot' into the syslinux config with no luck as well I am brand new to unraid so I am unsure of what logs if any need to be given I can get them if needed thank you.
  8. Dang ok. And yea I was gonna go with a samsung mini usb so ill just stick with that. Thank you.
  9. Hello all, is it possible to use a sata DOM to boot unraid and have the license key installed onto it? I would like to use it as they have a lot more write endurance so should hopefully last as long as the port on the motherboard. I know that I can use a usb adapter to plug it into my system would the unraid creation tool be able to see it and the uuid and license it?
  10. Ah I see then my ocd will have to get over it cause id rather not rewrite parity when adding more disks. Thank you.
  11. Sorry I don't think I was entirely clear I didn't mean parity data I just meant normal data like some windows files for example would I be able to move those files off a disk completely within unraid, then turn the disk that had the windows files on it into a parity drive? its not super important if not im just curios.
  12. Ok sounds like a good setup I didn't know I could convert a parity disk to data but I guess that makes sense cause it would just move its parity calculations to the other disk. Now that you say that if I add a Jbod or disk shelf in the future would I be able to move all the data from one disk to another and then make it a parity disk? ( I would like to have the disks physically beside each other for maintenance and ocd purposes lol).
  13. 8 disks total and yes I know cache doesn't count just felt I should add.
  14. Hello, I am going to be setting up a new unraid server here soon and racking my brain trying to think how many parity disks I really need. I am going to be running 8 disks with 2 cache drives not sure exactly what my pools are going to look like yet but I was thinking of running 2 parity disks but I don't know if that is overkill what do you guys think should I have more space or more redundancy.
