  1. Hi! Thank you for this. could socat be added to this? Thank you!
  2. Hi everyone. Earlier last week I setup a Windows Server 2016 VM. Yesterday, I noticed that the Hyper-V switch was at ON in the VM config, and this seems to be causing my OS to use almost all the ram available by doing a "driver reserved". I turned off the VM, changed the settings to off, and do update. But when I go back to the config, it's back to ON. I can't seem to turn off that setting. Any clues? There's nothing that is in 'passthru' to the VM. Hyper-V is not installed on the server. Thank you
  3. I'm supposed to get a new HDD this week or next week, we will see if it solves the problem.
  4. Ok, i think its disk 1... When I copy stuff from disk 2 to disk 6, all is ok. Disk 1 to disk 6, the error appears every minute non-stop. thanks!
  5. Is there any command to check which disk is on ata5?
  6. I did a checkdisk a few days ago, it found a few erros on my 1st data drive, had to correct them, but the ATA5 error was before that. I also added another 2TB hard drive last week, checked all my connections, everything looks good. The error went away for a few days, but now they are back. Any ideas? syslog-2011-06-01.txt

    email redirection

    Hello! I was thinking of setting up my unraid to be an email redirector for a group Im part of, but like someone said in another topic, i dont want to expose my server just for that. Does anyone knows of a free (or cheap) email hosting/redirecting that supports my own domain with 100-200 emails? I dont mind only creating the alias for each of our members and entering a forwarding address. thanks
  8. @Jason: your link is not working...

    Broken USB

    Anybody ever had a problem with their usb key being converted to READ-ONLY? Last week, everything was fine. but now, it's in read-only mode. there is no switch on the key to lock/unlock. I cannot remove the partition. Tried in linux, tried in windows 7, no luck. Tried a low-level format tool, can't format it. I wrote limetech if by chance I can get a new key file for my other usb-key. I hope I get it.
  10. Hi all! Just finished preclearing my old 1tb Seagate. Does anyone sees anything abnormal with the info bellow? ============================================================================ == == Disk /dev/sde has been successfully precleared == ============================================================================ S.M.A.R.T. error count differences detected after pre-clear note, some 'raw' values may change, but not be an indication of a problem 54c54 < 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate 0x000f 114 099 006 Pre-fail Always - 69956695 --- > 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate 0x000f 119 099 006 Pre-fail Always - 202538958 58c58 < 7 Seek_Error_Rate 0x000f 068 060 030 Pre-fail Always - 7309450 --- > 7 Seek_Error_Rate 0x000f 069 060 030 Pre-fail Always - 7396424 66,67c66,67 < 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel 0x0022 069 063 045 Old_age Always - 31 (Lifetime Min/Max 26/31) < 195 Hardware_ECC_Recovered 0x001a 050 028 000 Old_age Always --- > 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel 0x0022 066 063 045 Old_age Always - 34 (Lifetime Min/Max 26/35) > 195 Hardware_ECC_Recovered 0x001a 051 028 000 Old_age Always 71,73c71,73 < 240 Head_Flying_Hours 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 143610821479152 < 241 Unknown_Attribute 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 3339162421 < 242 Unknown_Attribute 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 2123312550 --- > 240 Head_Flying_Hours 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 195167608900350 > 241 Unknown_Attribute 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 997463318 > 242 Unknown_Attribute 0x0000 100 253 000 Old_age Offline - 1442950787
  11. Hi guys I'm adding two news hdd to my unraid. I'm adding 2 x 2to WD20EADS currently: Parity: 1 to (/sda) Cache: 500go (/sdb) Disk1: 500go (/sdc) Disk2: 500go (/sdd) /sde and /sdf are the new drives, being precleared right now (not bad, running between 95 and 105 mb/s) Once they are cleared and all good, I know I have to change the parity. I want to physically swap /sda and /sde. The best way would be what? Screenshot of drive assignement. Stop array. Power off. Do the swap. Power on array. Assing all the drives in the correct position. Start array? Thank you for your input.
  12. Sorry to rez. this post, but I noticed in my 4220 that I got a few weeks ago, for each tray I can slide the little metal-grill to block the vent holes on empty trays. So no need for blanking plates.
  13. Ya, but you use the Dependencies package. I want to use the all in one. Anyways, for now, it's not like I reboot my unRaid very often! hehe
