  1. I have SSDs in my array. Currently without parity. I guess I didn’t fully understand everything when I set it up and selected XFS for the array. Seeing as I’m using SSDs should I have selected btrfs due to it having built-in trim? Am I still best adding spinning disks for parity if I move to btrfs array? Thanks
  2. Following a guide to route some containers web traffic through my openvpn container. The instructions say to add `--net=container:OpenVPN-Client` to the "extra parameters" but i'm unable to find where those actually are. Someone help a dummy please?
  3. Yeah, that's what i meant, got my terminology wrong. I meant is there an issue using SSDs for btrfs raid 5/6? I get it's still experimental in general
  4. Sorry, for the 2nd request for help in an evening! So i've got 4x 2tb HDD and 4x 2tb SSDs for my setup. Plus a 1tb nvme drive i was gonna use as cache. Initially i was just gonna stuff all the drives in the array and use 1 or 2 of the HDDs as the parity (because of supposed SSD parity issues). But now i'm wondering whether i'm better off using the HDDs in the array and setting up the SSDs in a pool. Is there an issue with having SSDs as parity in a btrfs raid 5 setup, if that's the route i went down for the pool? How would you set this up? Thanks
  5. Awesome. Thanks so much. I'll check 'em both out. I'm sure i can work it out from here. Thanks for your help
  6. @trurl Yeah, i have more data than my cache drives. I have 4x 2tb USB HDDs (they're not all full, don't have that data handy) and 4 new 2tb SSDs drives for the array. So i was gonna go parity-less until, at least, one of the HDDs is moved over because i've read SSD as parity is a no-no @ChatNoir thanks. Then how do i go about moving the data? Is it done on the web interface somewhere? (Sorry, not at my box right now to check it out, trying to get as sorted as i can before going at it tonight) Thanks again
  7. New to Unraid. Just installed it in fact. I'm a little confused about how i go about getting my existing data off of USB drives onto my array. Do i have to mount them to another computer and copy over the network? I saw mention of the snap plugin but that doesn't seem to be available for v6. Any better suggestions than moving over the network? Thanks

I want to set up an SSD-only array. I'm a little confused about information out there on the internet regarding this and using unraid. Are there still issues in doing this (not with the ZFS plugin) in this day and age? Thanks
