My cache drive recently failed and as a temporary solution I have added a USB3 external drive to the array as a cache drive until I can replace the cache with an internal drive. On recreating my VM templates I noticed that the USB3 drive is available for assignment to a VM. Seeing as it's assigned to the array (not sure if it's available if assigned as an actual array drive instead of cache), this may be a little bit risky in case someone does assign it to a VM in error. I haven't tested what would happen yet but I hope it will reject assignment to the VM without detriment to the array.

Just check the bios is selecting the USB to boot, my gigabyte motherboard 'forgets' my USB if I take it out of the slot and I have to select boot from USB in the bios

This does state that it is connected to the network and has a local IP address of 192.168.1.130

Other option is to manually edit the APCUPSD .conf file and see if that works EDIT:- sorry, I misread your question. I think there are posts on the forum for connecting via the UPS NIC

I heard of a Roku 2 2015 edition which is faster than the original Roku 2. Is that true? The roku 2 I had was the pre 2015 roku 2. The 2015 roku appears to be the same processor as the 2015 roku 3 but the 3 has a few extras such as games. So it should be faster than the old roku 2

Roku 3 takes about 30 seconds if that to start the plex app. A minute or two to boot the device from off but I leave it on 24/7. The roku 2 and stick takes a few minutes as ijuarez said.

I've had some success using a docker from https://hub.docker.com/r/yannickglt/docker-onedrive/ You can use this via CA for the template if you search for onedrive and get more results from dockerhub For the mappings i have used XXXX = https://onedrive.live.com/?id=root&cid=XXXX - note the letters must be in lower case once it is up and running go to CL and type Press 0 and open the URL in your browser after connecting to your One Drive account. On the blank page, copy the URL and paste it in the terminal. Press 3 to configure a directory to synchronize. then Restart the docker container. Now the almost working part! if i access the folder via CL, i can get a full listing of all files. If i access from Windows, i can see the sub-folder level but clicking on a folder results in which i think is just a user account issue with my Win10 VM EDIT: make sure docker is host

Not sure if this falls into the common problems category, but it would be nice to have a notice if SMART tests haven't been carried out for a while or automated short / long tests

I have just noticed when running an extended smart test on array or cache disks that the spindown delay is disabled while the smart test runs. All of my disks are set to use default (which is 15 minutes). Once the test completes, that particular disk is set to never. I expected that once the test is finished, the disk would revert back to its previous setting

I don't see this behaviour. If it continues, can you do this before and after a manual backup and let me know the results: docker ps -a (and also post a screen shot of the dashboard showing the stopped / running containers before and after) All OK this time. I thought that initially but there were items marked with autostart and not on. Ill give it another run and report back.

How does the restart of dockers work? I just checked my list of dockers and it was hit and miss as to which ones were started that were previously running and some were not started which were previously running. Also some that were not running previously were now started.

All dockers are stopped when the script runs. It only took an hour and two minutes for the first run! I was expecting it to be much longer with the plex library. Good work squid!

Thanks, there was no model= in the original xml config, however added in as you suggested and it showed up original xml Although the correct drivers installed and the system (win10) required a reboot to complete, the device is not installed Clicking on 'safely remove usb' shows 'Eject Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller', but in devices and printers it is not there. while the device is connected, the VM log shows on disconnect trying to eject the usb device via the VM locks up the VM Also the xml edit causes the HDMI audio to be lost.

No it's definitely in a USB3 port, tried it in several. Now rebooting unraid to see if that helps. I have had it working when passing through the usb3.0 controller

This is a very simple but great idea. well done. just downloaded and installed, only comment is the port address is completed on the container side not on the host on the template. Only tested it with one pdf so far but works well. If you ever felt the need to build on it, automated downloading would be the next thing.
