  1. I'm sorry but where do i set these environment variables if they don't go in the credentials.conf file. How do I set them in the docker or are that set in the UNRAID environment but how. is there some documentation that tells you how to do this?
  2. Hi, I am trying to set up delugevpn using openvpn and purvpn. Using the purvpn client I can setuo and connect a vpn with my client credentials and all appears to work fine to configure the the docker delugevpn on UNRAID I edited the docker container configuration and stipulated the the vpn would be openvpn and rebuilt, that's the only change I made from switching from torguard/wireguard configuration to purvpn/openvpn. I edited the credentials.conf file and subtituted the two lines for my userid and password, but no matter what format of the file I use i keep on getting 2024-01-02 20:13:09,229 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output: 2024-01-02 20:13:09 AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED 2024-01-02 20:13:09 SIGTERM received, sending exit notification to peer and in addition to the credentials file being reset to vpn username vpn password looping through the log file, During the setup of openvpn, i set the permissions on the tun0.opvn and the credentials.conf 400 but it doesn't matter what permissions i choose they are always reset to 775 and I always get the following message in the log 2024-01-02 20:24:37,309 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output: 2024-01-02 20:24:37 WARNING: file 'credentials.conf' is group or others accessible 2024-01-02 20:24:37 OpenVPN 2.6.7 [git:makepkg/53c9033317b3b8fd+] x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] [DCO] built on Nov 9 2023 2024-01-02 20:24:37 library versions: OpenSSL 3.1.4 24 Oct 2023, LZO 2.10 2024-01-02 20:24:37 DCO version: N/A Any insight on either of these problems would be much appreciated, especially the authentication one. 3. System is a 2013 Mac Pro (trashcan) dual Intel Xeon E5-1680 with 64GiB or ecc ram. RUNNING Unraid 6.12.3 The system is hardly utilized, the CPU load struggles to reach the lofty heights of 1% utilization most of the time. I wanted to use the system as a docker host for running things like Traefic, cloudflare tunnel, pihole, authentication with authelia, passbolt self hosted password managed, crowdsec and a few others. Mainly things that don't store lots of data as the system only has a single 1TiB ssd installed Hi, could anyone tell me what the following error messages mean, since upgrading to 6.12.3 the system has these frequent pauses, the errors appear to indicate that there is a problem with both cpu's Thanks Aug 11 12:01:33 mac2013 kernel: PMS LoudnessCmd[29249]: segfault at 0 ip 000014c58b4d4e40 sp 4. My question is will using Portainer and docker compose screw up the builtin docker system that I'm currently using. I'm going to be installing a whole security suite, but the instructions I have for deploying/linking several containers are for Portainer or Docker compose. I'm looking at deploying Cloudflare tunnels, along with trafik, authelia, crowdsec and a few others and the instructions I want to follow are basically a pile of docker compose scripts and Portainer stacks. Unfortunately, I have a limited knowledge/experience with docker, so this might be totally dangerous and irresponsible of me to be playing with this stuff with my limited knowledge. I like the fact that all the Unraid installed containers persistant data is in the appdata directory and I'd like to keep that while using compose or Portainer. Will Portainer and compose use the docker.img file or will i need to set aside alternative array disk space to store the the containers Thanks for any help
  5. hi, I am in the process of setting up pihole-sync following the guide above. I have everything configured and if i create files in the pihole or dnsmasq.d directory files are transferred from my primary to the secondary pihole, but if i make a change in the primary dns it doesn't get loaded into the secondary's dns. ALSO on that time scale are transfers initiated currentlyI can only get a transfer by stopping ans starting the pihole sync sender. Thanks
  6. Thank you, i'll follow your plan, i must say I didn't know about the previous app re-install option
  7. Hi I have a old supermicro system that is becoming vary unstable. Unfortunately it's my primary NAS and where I run most of my docker containers. I'd like to try and move some of the more critical docker's to other servers while I try and diagnose the problems. I need to move my vaultwarden, pihole, nginx, cloudflared plus a few others from the failing unraid box to an alturnative unraid box. My current plan of action is to shut down and disable the docker service, copy the appdata folders, for those services to be moved, across to the new machine, but not into the appdata directory Install all the containers with a basic config. Stop all the newly installed contaners. move the copied appdata folders over the top of the now existing appdata folders restart services I'm also wondering if I need to copy across the FLASH:/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user/*.xml files for the moved containers Is there any thing else I need to be thinking about? or is this a really dumb idea and I should just bite the bullet and reinstall and set up from scratch Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  8. The console on my main machine is also not responding so I'm initiating a shut down by hitting the power button. I'll see hat happens when it reboots
  9. I just tried to connect via the other open gui's on my machine and all of them have stopped responding now, the only webgui's open were to krusader , deluge and sabnzbd, sonarr, radarr, discoverr, plex and syncthing. All have locked up, become non responsive, and I cannot establish a new connection to any of the services that were running so I guess a reboot is now my only option
  10. Hi, I have two unraid systems and on my main system I was attempting to install a macos vm's using the "macinabox" app, I was following spaceinvader one's directions from his 2021 video "How to Install Big Sur and Other macOS Versions with New Macinabox" I had just installed the macinabox app and the unraid gui became non responsive. My other applications on that machine that have open web gui's continue to work, but i cannot start up and of the other docker images that did not have open webgui. I tried to connect to my backup machine and this one the gui was also non responsive. I logged in to the console and initiated a reboot as I have done in the past when this occured, the machine appears to boo, although the gui ports 1080 and 1443 are open the 1080 does not respond to a http connection request and the https port started responding something along the lines of that http traffic was sent to a https port, now it's just saying the site cannot be reached as 10.0.0.20 took to long top respond. I checked what ports are open between 1 and 10000 and the following are 111, 130, 445, 1080, 1443, 2049, 3702 and 5355. None of these are responsive to a http request. port 1080 should be the http gui port and the 1442 should be the https ports but no certificate is installed on the machine so can't be connected to At the moment the main server is running and I am a bit nervous about rebooting as the things that are running on there appear to be running still I was thinking of shutting down the backup machine and recreating the flash drive and copying back the license file, although it's just a temporary license at the moment . I can login on the console but currently have no way of getting anything onto or off the machine other that copying things to the flash, shutting down moving the flash drive to another machine and and doing it that way If anyone haas any ideas I'm all ears Thanks
  11. Thanks for all your help. I'm now able to log into the web interface. Just need sort out the ssl cert stuff correctly this time
  12. I have edited the ident.cfg file and set use_ssl to no, but the address in the browser is still getting rewritten, do I need to reboot or send some form of kill to cause the config file to be reread
  13. I enter http://10.0.0.10:1080 and it gets rewritten as https://10.0.0.10:1443
  14. Hi, I was attempting to update the certificates for my Unraid server and some how I have managed to muck up the process and now I can no longer connect to the web interface. I can still ssh in to the server and login on the console. Is there a way I can manually, on the command line, set the connection protocol to http rather than https and ignore the whole certificate problem I have created for my self, so I can get in and try setting up for the new certificates. Thanks for any advise. I have attached a screen shot to the error I'm getting when trying to connect David
  15. Never mind, found out how to install my key current key. I was in TOOLS/Registration
  16. Is there some on I can talk with about getting my pro key that should be associated with the flask key in the system back installed so I can start rebuilding my machine?
