  1. Thanks everyone! server has been stable for 14 days, while troubleshooting the hardware aspect i noticed that the fan profile was set to quiet so i ramped up the fans and cleaned up some unused plug-ins and general maintenance. Thanks again!
  2. Thanks ill start a slow process of elimination with regards to the hardware. One setting i did change which im not if it could cause problems is that i changed my docker directory from /mnt/user/system/docker to /mnt/<zfs_cache_drive>/docker My idea was to bypass the Fuse system if that makes any sense. Please let me know if this is a bad thing to do.
  3. Hi everyone, ive been having random freezes after swapping hardware. i found that somehow my docker settings had changed to macvlan so a switched it back to ipvlan but today it happened again while i had a parity check running. i hope the logs can tell a better story. ares-diagnostics-20240130-0506.zip
  4. Did you add another host path in your docker template? maybe something like /config/media -> /mnt/ssd-cache-drive/Media?
  5. Sounds like a board issue. i fried my board when i connected a GPU riser, the pcie x1 connector had some glue and the seem to have fried the board. power delivery was always good due to the fact that lights would come up and all. although its my fault for using some off brand riser, i feel Asus has been cutting corners on their products lately.
  6. hey i ran into this as well, it was a test of patience and im so glad i found this thread. i managed to remove it using iFix-iOpener, it took time but i managed to remove the back plate while catching up some tv shows.
  7. Thank you for the your suggestion on the mover settings, no wonder why my /var/logs was getting hammered. (disabled now) Here is the diag. Thank you! ares-diagnostics-20230901-2115.zip
  8. Second time Unraid's GUI crashes on me. this started after I created a ZFS pool for my cache drive. i think my system is running out of RAM, can you help me confirm? i can still browse shares and docker apps seem to be working fine so it is not very critical. Last time i rebooted Unraid to get things back to normal. Thanks! Edit: I ran these to restart the GUI (hope it helps someone) killall -s TERM nginx /etc/rc.d/rc.nginx start ares-syslog-20230901-1223.zip
  9. Hey everyone, im looking for a fan (PWM) controller compatible with unraid. i want to be able to slow down my fan because they are running pettry high! i have pwm fans but im using some off brand fan hub and it pulls power from a sata power connector so i guess its passing too much power. any suggestions other than setting fan curves in the BIOS? im using a mix of noctua fans and corsair ml120 Thanks!
  10. Hey @ich777 it seems like switching to IPVLAN resolved my issue. I haven't had any more kernel panics after the change and also i put stress on my system for further verification. i don't recall changing that setting to MACVLAN but who knows, maybe i did! Here are some logs ares-diagnostics-20230419-2012.zip
  11. I switched MACVLAN to IPVLAN, enabled syslog server and restarted. will follow up on a new thread here: https://forums.unraid.net/bug-reports/prereleases/ Thanks again!
  12. Hey guys, Been getting some kernel panic after upgrading to Version: 6.12.0-rc3; im thinking about rolling back but figured i would post this info just in case i helps in some way. I'm working on a few smart issues so if you see that please know that I'm aware and will be replacing some drives soon! (not thanks to you WD!) Oh, prior to the upgrade i installed btop-1.2.13-x86_64-1_SBo_UES.txz via nerdpack but removed it just before posting. not is if this was causing some trouble since it was the last thing i did before the upgrade. Thank you. ares-diagnostics-20230418-0602.zip
