Hi, unraiders!
My first unRAID server (tiny Sempron with 2TB disks) has been rock solid for several years, 7/24, serving as simple smb machine. Its time to get paid licence .
Good imvestment for future system expansion is SUPERMICRO X11SSM-F motherboard. This particular mobo works with Unbuffered ECC DDR4 2400MHz.
Supermicro Tested memory list is made of only several Samsung and Hynix brand modules. None of these are available in my country yet, without waiting.
Some says here that they are just putting ordinary Kingston ECC on Supermicro boards.
Others mention that Supermicro server boards are very picky about memory.
I can gan get several products of (8Gb) Kingston modules here:
— KTH-PL424E/8G, (DDR4, 2400MHz, CL17, unbuffered, ECC)
— KCP-424ES8/8, (DDR4, 2400MHz, CL17, unbuffered, ECC)
— KTD-PE424E/8G (DDR4, 2400MHz, CL17, unbuffered, ECC)
— KVR21E15D8/8 (ValueRAM, DDR4, 2133MHz CL15, unbuffered, ECC)
May be someone can confirm compatibility of one of these with this quite popular Supermicro mobo?
