  1. Okay, it seems that using the manual spin down they will spin down but they are not spinning down on their own. I even tried setting the spin down manually from Default to 30 min and they never spun down. I show no activity on any disk except Parity, Disk5, and Cache which is expected and should be the only drives that never spin down. I used the File Activity plugin as well as watched the main page and the reads/writes never moved except for the disks mentioned. When I manually spin down the disks, they will stay spun down until they are used which is rarely since they are for movies but once spun up they will not spin down by themselves. tower-diagnostics-20181102-0922.zip
  2. I am seeing this issue as well. I am on 6.6.3 and the disks never spin down on their own. I have installed the File Activity plugin to try and get an idea but the only items that return are on my disk5 (not including cache) which should be the only disk that never spins down cause it is where I have all of my dockers at and they are always working. All of my other drives only contain my movie media and should spin down when no one is watching anything. Something in the recent updates have caused issue where they no longer spin down on their own.
  3. but wouldn't that be odd that two users that just upgraded to the new 5.0 both have a system reboot last night? Just saying
  4. My System too restarted for some reason. 5.0 since it restarted unable to do syslog.
  5. my system is stuck on filesync as well. did you ever figure out what happened or how to get it past this point?
  6. So I restarted the machine last night and went to bed. I did not get anymore email alerts so I assumed that fixed the issue. Still would like to know what this means if anyone has an idea.
  7. Hello everyone. Need some assistance here. I have never seen this error before and I am having a hard time trying to find out how to solve it. I keep getting email alerts. Subject: cron for user root /usr/lib/sa/sa1 2 1 1> /dev/null Body: Cannot write data to system activity file: No space left on device All of my drives have some space left but obviously something is going on. The mover script is not running and I cannot figure out what is trying to be saved where so that I can try and resolve this issue. I have received 50 emails so far and continue to get them every minute. Thanks in advance. syslog-2013-09-06.zip
  8. when I use telnet and go to /mnt/disk5 is this also pulling from Parity?
  9. Hello everyone, I need some help. Using RC8a. Unfortunately no syslog since I rebooted. My issues is that the web gui is showing that Disk 5 is missing but I can still get to it from Windows Explorer which means the disk is mounted. I can also see all of the contents from telnet at /mnt/disk5. Can someone help me as to why the gui shows it as missing and how can I fix it?
  10. Ok so this info is for sure indicating the Parity Drive and not some other drive. I only ask cause I saw several other posts that stated that just because the errors show on the Parity Drive row does not mean it is the actual Parity Drive so want to confirm my other drives are not the ones at risk. Thanks for the quick reply. Oh and I am also asking cause you said at a Quick Glance.
  11. Hello everyone. I want to start off by saying that I am a noob when it comes to this stuff but I can follow directions well (I was able to get unraid installed but always struggle when there are issues). I have been running unraid since 2010. My Parity Drive is a fairly new (less than a year) 3TB drive and disk 6 was my old parity drive. Now with that said, I am seeing quite a few errors on the gui in the row of my parity drive. Every time there is a parity check the errors seems to go up and I have been blowing it off but am now starting to get concerned. The gui shows 8603 errors for the Parity Drive row. There are no errors indicated on any other drive row and the parity check always indicates 0 sync errors. I would post a screen shot but for some reason I have lost gui ability after running the parity check manually with no corrections today (Parity check usually runs monthly automatically). I have searched the forum and unable to figure out the issue on my own so hence my post. Based on feedback/instructions from other posts, I was able to obtain a syslog and I have attached that here but I have no idea how to interpret it. I have also clicked around in UnMenu since that is the only gui accessible to me right now for some reason. On the Smart History link it listed a bunch of graphs but had a few Red label items which are as follows: JK11D1YAJ643MZ: WARNING - Reallocated_Sector_Ct has increased from 0 to 2 since 2010-12-08 JK11D1YAJ643MZ: WARNING - Reallocated_Event_Count has increased from 0 to 2 since 2010-12-08 WD-WMC1T0974371: *ERROR* - Current_Pending_Sector it is now 24 (error threshold is 5) I am using Unraid RC8a. I am not sure what else you need to know to assist me but if you direct me on how to obtain any further information I will provide it. Thanks in advance for any help anyone provides me. I am heading out on vacation starting tomorrow so my replies may have to be next week if I do not get any responses tonight (6/4). syslog-2013-06-04.zip UnMenu_Smarth_History_Errors.txt
  12. Please forgive me if this has been mentioned somewhere already but where do I find the Server PIN so that I can stream over the internet (remotely)? Thanks
  13. Hello Joe. I just reviewed my syslog after fixing the other "Missing Disk" problem that you helped with me. I noticed that the Cache_Dir program does not seem to like folder names with spaces. Is there a way other than eliminating the space to get around this?
