  1. You can change both drives - the SATA-Port doesn't matter - unraid indentifies the disks over the serialnumber. And by the way: You have 16 SATA-ports: 6 on the Intel Chipset 2 on the ASM1061 and 2x4 on the LSI-controller.
  2. This is the Link to the Bracked https://www.shapeways.com/product/NET3LH5QP/fan-bracket-for-lsi-9207-8i?productConfiguration=104311341&etId=192375185&utm_source=automated-contact&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=order-shipped&utm_content=5
  3. I would first change the HBA and then upgrade - i am not sure if v6 supports the supermicro properly. Important: Connect the cache-SSD at the light gray SATA-III-port (Intel) on the mainboard - dont use the ASM1061 for the SSD - they are only connected over PCIe x1. The LSI-controller has a problem with trimm - rest doesn't matter - all disks are slower then SATA-II.
  4. The LSI has 2x Mini-SAS SFF-8087 connectors - i dont know the connectors of the supermicro, but google (or the manual) will tell you. Usually you can just swap it - both controllers are HBAs. unRAID identifies the HDDs over the serialnumber - so it doesnt matter where to connect. I did my change few weeks ago - 2x Adaptec 1430SA against the 9207-8i - straight forward and pretty simpel. Be aware: The LSI 9207-8i needs active cooling of 200lfm because its a Server-HBA.
  5. I am using the same MB since 2013 - no problems with it.
  6. 4GB are ok but i recommend a minimum of 8GB - and avoid the SUPERMICRO AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 - this controller is known to make problems. Use a SLI 9207-8i or similar.
  7. What kind of screenshot is this? Is this a plugin?
  8. Same problem here... there is def. something wrong with the mover... The whole sys is lagging around when mover is running.
  9. Have you ever tried to move more then 400GB over a 1GB-LAN to your server? Good luck and take 10-20 coffee's ๐Ÿ˜‰ And yes, all is going to the Cache-SSD and not directly to the HDDs.
  10. Be carefull with this cards - they are all used. I ordered two of them and one was broken. So i ordered two new Asus XG-C100C and all is working fine, but more expensive.
  11. Yep - thats right - only my PC uses the 10.x network - but not always... thats the strange thing - but never mind...
  12. Here it is I didn't change anything - all default.
  13. I checked this already - that was my first guess, but no ๐Ÿ˜‰ The 10Gb-Link is only a "peer-to-peer" connection between my PC and unRAID - so no gateway and no DNS.
  14. bump... noone at least an idea, why this happens?
  15. Go to the Plex-Docker > Edit > CPU-Pinning and play around giving Plex various CPU-Cores and see what happens. And do also with the VM(s) - give dedicated cores to your VMs. Your CPU is more then strong enough...
  16. Hi folks, i like to know if it is possible to tell Plex to use only "one" dedicated NIC to stream files? unRAID has two networks - 192.168.2.250 and 10.10.10.250 Plex is configured to use the 192.x-IP but is using the 10.x randomly too. All recommendations are welcome
  17. Question: Is it necessary to use a crossover cable or can you connect two cards together via a patch cable? Thanks ๐Ÿ‘ EDIT: it's been dealt with ๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. Beware that the LSI-controller needs active cooling - 200lfm - thats why i puted a Noctua-fan on my 9207-8i.
  19. Normaly not, but some MB-manuals tell you, you should use slot 1 for the primary graphiccard - if in doubt, just try it. On my both ASRock-boards the graphiccard is also working at slot 2 - but slower because they are only PCIe 2.0 x4 And by the way: The fan of the graca is not blowing, it is sucking in, so it will not blow hot air to the LSI-controller ๐Ÿ˜‰ FYI: PCIe slot 1 is connected to the CPU, slot 2 is (sometimes) connected to the chipset. On mainboards which can handle two gracas (with 3 PCIe-slots), slot 1 and 2 are connected to the CPU and provide 2x PCIe x8 (electrical x16/x8). Read your manual for further infos.
  20. Did you read the GUI-Info? Your screenshot says: VM manger and Docker service must be Stopped...
  21. Docker/VM service must be stopped to change this setting. Let it blank. The NIC will auto-negotiate this setting.
  22. You dont need a MTU of 9000 - my Mellanox 10GbE-NIC works with a MTU of 1514 and transferes 1076 MB/s with a latency of 0,16ms.
