Prüfe mal die Taster am Gehgäuse, ob die alle "normal" arbeiten und nicht hängen. Ich hattge mal vor Jahren sowas in meinem PC - der ging einfach willkührlich aus. Da war der PowerButton der Schuldige.

Can someone explaine, what this plugin is doing? I selected two files to move, but only one was moved... is this normal?

Question: How can i get back the operating hours of my HDDs? Since the last update, its gone on all Disks... How is the name of the variable to show the Power On Hours? By the way, this "new" version has far less functions then the old one and a lot of check-boxes are gone (?) Why... EDIT: This tool has again deleted all my purchase Dates for my Disk.... not nice and not helpful...

Da "verschwindet" garnichts... das ist eine händisch angelegte Verknüpfung... Ist der Ordner in der Verknüpfung nicht erreichbar, weil unraid down ist, dann kommt es zu einer Meldung, dass die Resource nicht erreichbar ist. Ich würde vorschlagen, du arbeitest dich in die Netzwerk-Basics von Windows ein.

...weil du "händisch" unter Windows eine Netzwerkadresse und den dazugehörigen Pfad anlegen mußt. Die Betonung liegt dabei auf "per Hand"

Bei einer Dirktverbindung brauchst du "zwei getrennte Netzwerke" Ich hab so eine Config ebenfalls im Server. 1) 1000MBit-LAN mit der IP 192.168.2.111 und 250 (WinPC und unraid) 2) 10GBit-LAN mit der IP 10.10.10.111 und 250 (WinPC und unraid) ANSCHLIESSEND: Unter Windows mußt du eine Netzwerkadresse hinzufügen, die dort hinzeigt, wo du hinkopieren willst Ich hab vier solcher Verbindungen, die am unraid auf einen bestimmten Ordner zeigen: 1) Filme (\\10.10.10.250\Filme) 2) Serien (\\10.10.10.250\Serien) 3) Dokus (\\10.10.10.250\Dokus) 4) Musik (\\10.10.10.250\Musik) Jede dieser Verbindungen läuft "nur" über die IP 10.10.10.x Danach legt Windows einen Pfad an, der im Explorer wie ein Ordner erscheint, in den du direkt hineinkopieren kannst. Wenn du also ein File auf diesen Ordner schiebst (per drag & drop), dann wird automatisch das 10GBit-LAN mit der IP 10.10.10.x verwendet. Da gibts dann auch keine Konflikte. In der Netzwerkumgebung hingegen wird "immer" das 1000MBit-Lan angezeit und auch verwendet, wenn man da was rüberkopiert. Du mußt also diese beiden Netze getrennt behandeln - hoffe, das war verständlich...

I need an information whether the HW transcoding under plex is running error-free on the UHD770

Whats the power usage at idle? 60W or less? Is the HW-transcoding working under plex?

Just a "question" because i like to upgrade my Hardware (maybe)...

Von ASUS (und Seagate) würde ich die Finger lassen... Erfahrungswerte aus den letzten 14(!) Jahren... Damit holst du dir nur Ärger ins Haus (wenn mal etwas nicht funktioniert).

Not quite right - the 12600k has a HD770 iGPU while the 13400 has "only" a HD730. Price diff is only € 10.- Maybe relevant for Plex transcoding...

Something must be different in unraid 7 compared with unraid 6... I did a test with a 83GB file and its always the same. When copied from Windows 11 to unraid, it always starts with ~150-200MB/sek After a longer periode it went up to 1100MB/sek. On some smaller files, it never reaches more then ~450MB/sek. On the old v6 it started immediately with the full speed. The other direction (from unraid to windows) is almost like normal... On unraid v6 i had ~1000MB/sek and on v7 its slightly under 1000MB/Sek.

Be carefull with "normal" NVidia Cards - they can only handle 3 or 4 streams - restricted per software. If you need more, you need a Quadro GPU. Best solution is still an Intel iGPU and a plex pass (required).

As far is i know: No

unraid is running completely in RAM after booting. The USB-Flash is only for boot.

I recommend a 12600k - lots of cores (6C+4c/16T), a powertfull iGPU and not expensive. Because its a 125W CPU, you can set the max power at the BIOS to 65W and done 👍 And "if" you need the CPU-Power in the future, you can set the Power back to normal 😉

Just two questions: 1) why is the background of this light green LED light gray? Blinking is almost undetectable! Background should be black... Light green on light gray is like white eagle on white background 🤣 2) What is this blinking for? Thanks 👍
