6.12.4 All Docker containers missing.
As long as you still have the app data folder than re-creating the docker image isnt really an issue. You will have to install your containers again. Just make sure to create any custom networks before you try installing a bunch of previous apps at the same time. (The previous network wont be there and all containers will have no network) Easy fix but annoying! Also forgot to say, did you confirm your docker image is actually in the path specified in docker settings? Stop docker if not, move it to the location specified (Or change the location to wherever it is now) and start docker again.

First-time Unraid setup on an all-flash system
The concept of storage is undergoing a little facelift lately in unraid. There are pools and there is the 'array'. Pools are just pools in name and are not to be confused with ZFS pools. The array itself consists of 1 or 2 parity disks and a selection of any drives you wish to add either in size and/or filesystem. For size of disk added, the only restriction is that if parity is present, the drive you are adding needs to be smaller than parity. So you cant add a 10TB drive and only have an 8TB parity. My advice to you is to not go without parity. Regarding shares being visible as one. That can be done sure. But do you want 1 share to contain everything? Not good practice and unnecessary load on your network and systems if you try. Also switching between raid types? Not sure this makes sense? This would only be poosible in pools as the array does not follow this. Again my advice but, no one buys a bunch of hard drives and already has a plan for adding the next bunch of drives 2 or 3 years later Dont worry about this for now. ZFS pools for example can be expanded but in a different fashion that wouldnt be worth worrying about now.

Can unused nics on Unraid server be used as switchports on mobo with 8x2,5Gbe nics ?
These devices are sold as firewalls. They are designed to run something like OPNSense or PFSense and be the entry point of a network that is then distributed via the ample amounts of nics. I would under no circumstances run anything valuable on it such as your own personal data nor would I attempt to run EVERYTHING just because it could. You will end up with a device that doesnt do anything well. The CPU is not something that would be classed as server quality. To be fair you'd be replacing a switch with essentially another router which you already have in fritz. There'd be next to no support for transcoding or a task load heavier than directing traffic The device is good if you needed to replace fritz just not a media server.

Invalid folder disk1 contained within /mnt
Change it to 2 or 3 or 4. /mnt/disk2 /mnt/disk3 /mnt/disk4 Or whatever disk/pool you want Notifiarr to read the storage of.

Build help
Unless you intend opening this system up to the outside world resulting in 24/7 downloads and streaming, then, no. Plenty of modern CPU's capable of running a multi household family setup on its own very easily. Core and thread count matter, discrete GPU would be helpful (Doesn't have to be over the top) iGPU more than adequate to a point. RAM wise, that depends on your plan. VM's? LXC containers? Docker? My advice, go one step above your lowest number. so if you think 16GB go 32, 32GB, go 64. 128 is not necessary. Good luck

New build recommendations
I know this is late but I have a suggestion for your friend. Start smaller, figure out how to use the system and then expand. Money isnt going to make it work any better by itself.

Zimaboard eMMC as boot drive
Unless youre using a machine that has no USB ports then you are wasting your time researching for 2 reasons. 1. If your machine is either so small or old that theres no USB ports then you should be looking into that instead. 2. The unRAID USB drive is only read from to boot the system at which case its all loaded and ran from RAM. It has 0 bearing on performance of any kind at any time in the use of the system.

CPU air cooler for i9 in a servercase? (Possible?)
That rack pulls air through the front, over the HDD's and then that temp of air gets pushed into the chamber of the system. So it would be worth over delivering on the cooler choice to get the air out the back as quickly as possible. There doesnt seem to be anything inside the case to direct the air? Like a plastic shroud for example? Dont see it in the listing. Do some research there and see if such a thing exists. If it does, you will have to take that into consideration as it may impact the choices.

8 bay esata tower
I bought this on a whim one day when I was trying to fix a problem with my old server. https://sabrent.com/products/ds-uctb I didn't think it though and only really wanted to solve one issue but... I had 6 x 10+TB HDD's in it and even 2 SSD's that I was using for something else. I've not been able to max it out bandwidth wise yet.

Best supported third party fan controller?
No need for that. Go into your bios, then Power on the left and then on the right, towards the bottom, you can control the stepping of the fans. Ref - https://download.lenovo.com/bsco/index.html#/graphicalsimulator/ThinkStation P620 (30E0,30E1)

Liquid CPU Cooler without VM
Thankfully Corsair are usually cool with their hardware being controlled outside of their software. ASUS, the worst offender make it very hard. What I did was wire my fans to the individual fan headers on the motherboard and then set the curves in the BIOS. It then controls itself and I don't need any other VM's or messing to keep the system cool. Sorry I cant give you direct instructions but should help you think of other options.

[Plugin] LXC Plugin
Thank you kindly!

[Plugin] LXC Plugin
Apologies for the moronic question but... Is it possible to change a containers icon in the unraid GUI? Perhaps something I can add to config file?

[Plugin] FolderView
Really excited to see someone having the time and inclination to work on this feature. Been sorely needed and should be a default IMO. Might I ask why you are reinventing the wheel though? I'm sure Squid would be delighted to hand over the original. I believe he said as much when he forked it last year some time? Anyway - if its not needed then you keep going on the dev of this. I've got it installed and so far there aint nothing 'wrong'. Just needs a little more wax and a lot of buffing!

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
Awesome - thank you for your quick action! I will poke it later and see if its working now.
