  1. Agree, I have the X9SCM-F and there are issues with one of the LAN ports, the X9SCM-iiF has no such issues since both ports are of the same chipset.
  2. Will the following be o.k. with SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O? (1) Intel Xeon 6C E5 2620 2.0 GHz 6 LGA 2011 Processor BX80621E52620 (2) Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3 1333 MT/s (PC3-10600) CL9 Unbuffered ECC UDIMM 240-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Server Memory 1) get a http://www.proshop.se/Processor/Intel-Xeon-E3-1240V2-3.4-GHz-Processor-2343620.html, the cpu your looking at does not fit 2) Memory is tricky, this does not work http://www.proshop.se/RAM/Kingston-8GB-1333MHz-DDR3-ECC-2156230.html?utm_source=AutoEmails&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Completed but http://www.komplett.se/kingston-ddr3-1600mhz-8gb-ecc/773330#!tab:extra works. I know since I have 4 8gb of useless sticks extra lying around here...
  3. If your to run a virtual env then yes get a xeon cpu and more ram. Ram has to be ecc unbuffered!
  4. Your update is running like a charm, big thanks. Kind of wish this was part of the regular release
  5. When I follow the guide to update my exsi image with final it still shows as rc15, I have no clue why...
  6. The GUID of the flash should not change. Im running EXSI and have a pro key to it. I boot using the prebuilt exsi build but I also kept the flash name as UNRAID since it then uses the license file on that device and config files from there too. I did not have to set bypass to the USB key, I only assigned it in exsi settings to the unraid vm.
  7. Meant but tapatalk added other chars...
  8. My biggest concern is that there are 2 new "projects", plugin manager and webui ongoing, since its a one man team we could wait for 2 more years until they are done, and then its time to start on 6.0 instead. Thus no release will be made at all. I do think we need to help Tom focus on getting 5.0 out of the door, then 5.x can be with what ever new features he finds fit, but never getting a final will just drive customers away and plugin authors too.
  9. I'm on 12a and won't update until final, mostly because it works and testing 16 before a final just takes extra time and risk.
  10. Seems like Toms time is limited, thus spending time on new UI and new plugin framwork instead of getting the documentation completed and releasing v5 final seems odd, more like he does not wish to release it...
  11. Only thing stopping me now is that I have the management vswitch on the same as the rest, afraid that ill mess it up and get myself a log of hassle:)
  12. Your netgear switch supports 802ad and so does exsi 5.1, so in theory it should work. I have the same switch connected to my exsi box and I'm thinking about setting this up too.
