  1. Hi George, I’ve tried safe mode but no luck with that. I’ll give reconfiguring the drive a shot. Any decent guide on how to reconfigure, or should I just save all the files and reinstall Unraid to the USB and then restore all the files you mentioned to the USB?
  2. Edit: unfortunately the use_ssl no command did not fix this issue, it was working for around 10 minutes after, but the GUI became unavailable again after updating the auto update plugin. Ive tried removing the plugin (.plg file) from my Unraid boot USB but still this issue is occurring and I’m unable to access my GUI. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  3. Thank you @itimpi! I wasn’t aware that it was stating to implicitly write that command on the console to resolve the error. This has fixed the issue!
  4. @itimpi Sure I can do that- Before I post the full diagnostics file, something made me check the “urls.txt” log and I found errors there which might be the issue. Any idea on how to resolve them? Let me know if you'd like the full diagnostics attached.
  5. I am aware of this, I do normally access the GUI from the ip of my server on a different device but what I’m trying to point out is that the GUI is inaccessible from both the ip using a different device and locally on the Unraid machine itself. I did an ifconfig and the ip shown is what I’m using to try to access the server but I get a connection error when trying to access it and I’m not sure why this is.
  6. Could you please let me know how I can install this? (Through console as I don’t have access to the GUI)
  7. What I heard was that if I assign a static ip within DHCP range there is a chance that the ip will be assigned to another device, and so generally it should be outside the DHCP range. Open to any corrections.
  8. What I meant with that comment is if I launch Unraid in console mode it displays text and is interactable, but GUI mode doesn’t work in any case.
  9. 1. The static ip is outside of the DHCP ip pool. 2. I don’t believe this to be the case. I have assigned the static ip in the router settings.
  10. Hello all, Im having issues getting my Unraid GUI to load; The screen remains blank the cursor just blinks. Note: The console mode appears to work fine. My suspicion is that there is an issue with rclone.org which is causing this issue to occur as I get this error in the startup phase: ”ping: downloads.recline.org: Name or service not known” Background: My Unraid server for certain reasons has been unused for the last month and a half and my router has since been changed during this time. I don’t suspect that it would be a router issue as I’ve assigned a static ip to my Unraid server. All help is appreciated. Thank you.
  11. Good to know, thank you for your help! incase this image helps for the cut off part, here it is:
  12. Thats a great way of explaining it, thanks @itimpi. Would you say the logs in my screenshot seem concerning and should anything be done about it in your opinion?
  13. Hello Unraid Community! From what I understand, having any port open is dangerous, but I currently have port 443 port forward to 1443 for my nextcloud server. Although my nextcloud accounts are secured with a very strong password, how big of a security risk is this and is there a better way to do this? I ask this as I have recently noticed “LAN access from remote” on my wifi logs which reference the port 1443 and I don’t recall the ip’s (image attached). Am I doing something stupid here that I don’t properly understand? I mostly followed space invaders tutorial for this but with a few steps missing related to duck dns from what I remember but I did get it all working.
  14. Thanks squid. How about the “signal 15; terminating” which occurred during an excluded time in my s3 sleep setting, anything to be concerned about?
  15. Hi all, Im new to unraid and have been setting things up on the server, however I’ve noticed suspicious activity recently where my server has automatically turned on (not sure if that is due to a WOL setting) and my pc automatically turning off before the time it’s set to turn off from the s3 sleep extension. I’ve been playing around with user scripts and s3 sleep and i wonder if I’ve done something that may have compromised my security settings? Any help is appreciated, images that might be note worthy such as “anonymous” plug-in and when the server shutdown are attached. ps: thought about attaching the logs but thought that might compromise security of the server. Sorry if this is just a false flag and nothing is out of the ordinary.
