  1. I have a few VM's setup on my server. This server moved locations to a new network. So, I went back in and reset the network protocols.

I have two questions based on this (which may be stupid, and I apologize if they are, but I'm a beginner):

    1. All of my VM's are the same IP address. Is this correct? Is it necessary or useful to change this? and if so, how do I do that?
    2. Windows is the OS for all my VM's. I'm using windows remote desktop to access them. I can access the VM's totally fine within my home network (the same network that my server is on). I cannot, however, access the VM's remotely away from the network when I'm on another network. I'm assuming there's something really simple I'm not doing. What do I need to do to make this possible?
  2. I'm cleaning up the VM's on my server and making some updates. I utilizing some of the VM's for other services, but want to keep the data from the VM's somewhere on my server.

This may be a very basic question, but I'm a beginner. So, please bare with me.

How do I move data (files, etc), off of a VM and store them somewhere else on on the server?

Do I need to setup a file storage system or plugin? And, how do I get files from an individual VM to a folder on my server?

  3. I'm very new. So, I apologize in advance if this is a simple question.

My current issue is unraid is not recognizing any of my hard drives. All the ram seems fine. I ran a memtest and it shows all 128GB installed (and I don't think unraid would run without RAM).

When I turn on my server, no lights come on indicating that my drives are working.

Here is the build of my server:

    It's a Norcos 16 bay server case

    Other components:

    • Asus AM4 Motherboard
    • Ryzen 3900X 12 core
    • DDR4 128GB RAM
    • Corsair HX1000 PSU
    • RAID Card (2)
    • Samsung 500GB SSD (8)
    • WD Black 4TB HDD (8)

    For other context:

    • I have the newest version of unraid installed (just the trial version). I'm able to boot to that and log in on the server as well as the web GUI. This is where I noticed no devices were being found.
    • I can boot to the UEFI menu, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for there

I attached an image of my server, as well as the results of the memtest.

Is there a test I can potentially run to see if my hard drives are recognized so that I can rule out a hardware issue? Or is there something in unraid that I can do?

  4. Whenever I start a vm and try to open it in the console, it gives me this error:

=noVNC encountered an error: Uncaught SyntaxError: The requested module './util/browser.js' does not provide an export named 'dragThreshold' (ipaddress)/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/novnc/core/rfb.js:13:10 SyntaxError: The requested module './util/browser.js' does not provide an export named 'dragThreshold'

I just recently updated my unraid to version 6.11.5. I'm not sure if that is the cause or something else
