[WORKLOG] Wohnzimmer-Homelab
I get those speed with 80-90gb files and with 9000mtu it does go to 700-800mt/s range. Was just wondering if you had the same problem and had to change settings in unraid or card itself

[WORKLOG] Wohnzimmer-Homelab
Yet another question, did you have to change your mtu to 9000 from 1500 in the network settings to get correct speeds with the intel nic? For some reason my mellanox gave me around 700-800 speeds with the 1500 setting but intel only gets around 100-120?

Sorry for posting in english on a german sub but i have been looking at that same intel card on ebay and i am wondering what brand cables you are using with it? Been reading that intel seems to be picky about cables used with them?

[Plugin] Tailscale
So what causes this notification? Been trying to get tailscale to work but sometimes its fine and sometimes it starts to give that "error". Maybe that is the cause why i can not get the streaming to work on jellyfin Tailscale Health Linux DNS config not ideal. /etc/resolv.conf overwritten. See https://tailscale.com/s/dns-fight Commands i used when i installed the tailscale tailscale set --advertise-exit-node --advertise-routes=192.xxx.xx.x/xx,192.xxx.xxx.x/xx echo 'net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1' | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf echo 'net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding = 1' | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf sudo sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf

Unraid noob needs opinions
Not going to run 16 drives out of the gate just meant that hba+expander gives me option of running 16 drives in dual link. But for start will be using some of my old hard drives and slowly updating them to bigger ones.

Unraid noob needs opinions
Hi, Ive been looking to do a unraid server build. I need your guys opinions should i use my old motherboard and cpu or go the route all the cool kids go and build a 10/11/12th gen server. Server will be mostly just storing my movies/tv shows and have the automation for torrent etc. At this moment not planning to run plex or jellyfin, just straight connection between main pc and server, but if i do its only to my tv. At start one hba and sas expander (dual link) giving me 16 drives but later if needed add second hba and expander and also run a 10gbit nic. My old computer has asus tuf z370 pro gaming mb and intel i3-8300 cpu Edit1 So the question is do you guys see a problem using the old cpu for all the *arr usenet/torrent downloads Watching movies shows on main computer with mpc-hc+madvr or just go straight to the newer hardware
