  1. Hi, Does anyone know if you can pass through an SSD drive directly to an existing VM I have built. I have the SSD disks has an unassigned disk using the plugin but when I come to edit the VM, there doesnt seem to be an option to select the DISK I have formatted with NTFS. thanks Chris
  2. yeah will give that try cheers
  3. So tried a scrub and no errors were found. still getting these errors though in system log Dec 24 11:06:59 eljtech-core kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme1n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 261 off 26375880704 csum 0x49a179cf expected csum 0x8647461a mirror 1 Dec 24 11:06:59 eljtech-core kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme1n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme1n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 75, gen 0 Only seems to be when my VM is running. There is no errors on the main dashboard or from my grafana dashboard related to that disk
  4. yeah il take a look at that and report back
  5. Hi, I am running a windows 11 and it's running fine and no issues but I have noticed these errors on my syslog and wondered if anyone had seen similar. The drive its complaining about is where I have the vdisk located. Its a brand new nvme wd blue, so not sure why these are alerting considering I dont see any errors elsewhere, even in grafana logging kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme1n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 261 off 23526653952 csum 0x0f9d0bc3 expected csum 0x791bcc50 mirror 1 Dec 23 18:07:05 eljtech-core kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme1n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme1n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 30, gen 0 Dec 23 18:08:03 eljtech-core kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme1n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 261 off 5651419136 csum 0xe23591e0 expected csum 0xcc7ecd01 mirror 1 Dec 23 18:08:03 eljtech-core kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme1n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme1n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 31, gen 0
  6. ah no worries, sometimes you gotta work it yourself. turned out okay in the end.
  7. this is fixed now. managed to copy the contents of the backup and onto a new drive. then add the drives back into the array and selected parity is already valid. worked a treat.
  8. have you got a backup? if so just copy the contents of the backup to the flash drive. When you get back in add your disks into the array and select parity is already valid and you should be backup and running. Same thing happened to me yesterday
  9. So I have managed to get the backup off the array, however when I go to USB Creator and look for local zip, it doesnt show anything, so I have zipped up the folder flashdrivebackup but its not recognised (using Mac OS) I have copied the entire contents of the flash drive backup folder to the USB stick and this boots into Unraid without any issues. Only problem is that it doesnt remember my array configuration and its duplicated all the cache pools. Suppose I could add the disks back into the array but just concerned it might over write the data. Assuming Parity drive will rebuild itself?
  10. Hi Guys, I need some urgent advice. My USB died, so I have replaced this with another one. However the backup I took is actually on the array, so I cannot restore from backup because I cannot access the disk. Can I just follow the Unraid install step, bring the array back online, using same disks in the correct areas, get the backup and recover? I am just worried about my data. I have been using the plugs for backing up docker and flash etc. but I didnt get chance to take them offline? any help would be great. thanks
  11. Morning, There is lots of videos and articles around setting up a gaming VM, all have different settings and hacks, is there anything recent instruction wise that people are using, I am on the latest release of Unraid. Running AMD Ryzen 5 and Geforce GTX 1660 Super. I guess I am getting a little confused on the whole dump vbios thing (do I need to do that or not ) and system devices IOMMU group, assuming I need to do that. I have tried the space invader vids on this but when VM boot I get a black screen (assuming related to not dumping my vbios), I also lose the ability to put the graphic cards in power save mode (SpaceInvader Script) when not using the VM, assuming this is because Unraid not longer has control over the card? any help or direction would be appreciated. thanks
  12. perhaps, I might/you have found it, under settings/NFS there is a tuneable value set to true, I have just switched it to 330. Il reboot once my parity check is over and see if that makes a difference.....
  13. not even sure what that was, last thing I did was try and build a windows VM and passthrough my graphic card. Did a quick reboot and then it happened. Not really sure how I get out of it.
  14. just looking at it, If I browse /mnt/user there is no folders in there like before. The Data seems to be fine located on other disks. but /mnt/user is empty. How do I go about putting it back
  15. Hi Guys, Not sure what has happened but I reboot my Unraid server and now all my shares are missing. Docker no longer starts. I arent too such how to start troubleshooting the issue, I have downloaded a diagnostic but I am unclear on where to start looking. could someone give me some help, really appreciate it thanks eljtech-core-diagnostics-20221217-1507.zip
