  1. using monthly it will be a different day every month. thats really bad
  2. yes I saw that too. wanted to try this next but its not allowed: 0 10 22-28 * * [[ $(date +%u) -eq 4 ]] input field seems to be limited by nr of characters. Thought I'll just do it once every 4 weeks then but even that seems impossibe in cron. update: I looked at the cron line created when scheduling inside the plugin, I now set it up running as a user script using: 0 10 22-28 * * [[ $(date +%u) -eq 4 ]] I switched to 4th Thursday as the 3rd aleady passed :). Fingers crossed
  3. hi guys, i recently discovered that as of december 2025 my plugin never run again. there are no files in /tmp/appdata.backup just run a manual backup and it ran fine so its probably my custom cron that is silently failing: 0 10 * * 4#3 it was suppose to run every 3rd (#3 )Thursday (day 4) of the month at 10:00AM. Its probably the hash that is breaking this. Do I need a different format for unraid?
  4. this solved the issue for me. Thank you so much!
  5. Hello everyone, I got a weird issue i'm trying to tackle but can't figure it out myself (unless it is a bug in Plex). I got several shares that my dockerized plex server has rw access to. most of these shares have the owner nobody and everything inside has rw access for user/group/other. A few of my shares have the owner root (was this the original owner a while back?) I'll stick with two shares: Concerts (video) Concerts (audio only) Both shares have owner nobody in unraid, mapped rw in docker and Plex sees the files just fine. Thing is, I can play video files that are in the root of the video share without any problems (mp4/mkv/webm), however, my audiofiles (mp3, opus) stored in the root of my audio share, which are found by Plex, cannot be played at all. sometimes i get a generic playback error: An error occurred loading items to play. As soon as I move these audio files to a subfolder (and rescan my library) plex is able to play them without any problem. I can't figure out why this is happening. Is this a bug in PLEX or is there actually something wrong on my share settings that I'm overlooking? ok, probably should have checked the plex forum as well. Thought it was a user/configuration error on my side. Guess not. https://forums.plex.tv/t/playback-error-an-error-occurred-loading-items-to-play/871042
  6. here the same issue. Noticed high powerusage on my machine recently. I upgraded to 7.1.2 in hopes it would resolve it. First I discovered a plex transcoder process being stuck on a single mkv file. after removing it and restarting plex I noticed shfs taking up a lot of cpu. Restarting the server doesn't help. CPU usage builds up slowly in a few hours max. Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to shut down a few dockers, trying to find the problem. edit: after some additional check I found out my Nextcloud docker is causing massive issues. Checking the log for this container I notice it being overflown with http requests for notifications and heartbeats... No clue yet how to fix this... To be continued edit2: ok, I resolved my issue by disabling the notifications and the user status application in nextcloud (inside nextcloud go to active apps, there disable both apps) my cpus are idle again
  7. anyone else having problems with the keyboard key COMMAND when connecting through VNC from a mac(book) keyboard? My CONTROL button works, OPTION too, but the COMMAND key is also mapped/recognized as the OPTION key. This makes it hard to perform simple tasks like copy/paste etc.
  8. Did you do something except the plain installation to get your apple account working on the vm? I have the ventura VM but it locks my apple account each time i try to login which forces me to unlock my account and change my password...
  9. wow drastic solution but happy for you that it works now
  10. I asume you don't do anything special when creating the macinabox docker image, but can you share the logs of the container when it has run, and the settings you used for the docker container? Also, can you provide more details like, unraid version, hardware of your server. I'm running macos smoothly on unraid 6.12.13, ASRock B660M Steel Legend and a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-12400.
  11. I just installed a new Ventura VM. I get the same screen. Starting the macOS Base System (which is selected) gets me into recovery mode. from there I can the start disk utility app where I need to format the uninitialized 100gb disk. What happens if you start the macOS Base System disk?
  12. What about the MacOS VM :)? It should get an ip in the same range as your server (not the one you might have assiged for the macinabox docker container). Do new devices on your home network by default have access to the internet or do you block new devices?
  13. okay... the first screen you should get is the recovery window of macos. If I recall this correctly, the vm is supposed to download recovery. Is the VM connected to the internet?
  14. the installer disappears after installing. you sure you can't just boot from the normal macOS Base System disk now? It probably reboots a couple of times before finally going to the login window
  15. There is a delete_me_to_reset.txt file in the macinabox appdata folder. If you remove it macinabox should download all again. If that doesn't work remove the complete docker Macinabox redownload it after (also remove the appdata folder)
