Compression yes, encryption no. I'll have to do a test and see what comes of it.

Thanks so much, that fixed it! It never occurred to me to set the privileged option. Where is the log file exactly? /var/log/health.log seems to be the only one that gathers data, the others symlink to /dev/null, and I don't see an error like you mentioned...

I must be missing something. My backups are incredibly slow, even just to a local external HDD, yes it's USB 3.0. 5 hours to backup about 500GB of data....and that's an incremental backup done shortly after a 12+ hour full backup was completed...on the weekend when no one is using the server. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi there! I'm trying to enable the ping plugin to monitor the reachability of systems on my network. I've followed the online documentation but I'm somehow missing something. It doesn't appear in the GUI. I check it via the debug troubleshooting and it is pinging and collecting data, but I can't figure out how to see it in the web gui. Can someone help me with what I believe is a very basic feature of netdata?

@ocyberbum Did you have any luck creating the docker container? I want to do this exact thing but I can't make heads or tails of how to make my own private docker container...or public for that matter. I'm rather new to docker. Any tutorials or tips would be most helpful!

Yes, I try to contribute as much as I can where I can. Unraid in general has such a great community and there is so much information it makes things very helpful. As they say, it takes a village!

Why is it that when I have a problem I can spend hours looking for a solution before caving in and posting for help; then I find the solution right away if I continue my search? This thread helped me: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/77390-solved-cannot-access-dockers-using-custombr0/ The key was to enable docker host access to custom networks. So simple yet so many hours spent searching...such is life and learning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@ZappyZap Hey there, first of all thanks very much for providing this. It's pretty awesome! I am having an odd issue I hope you can help with. Everything seems to be working just fine while I am on the local network but I can't seem to access the admin page via my VPN. Now, the wrinkle here is I'm using Tailscale in another docker to connect me to the whole network when I'm not on site. This seems to be configured correctly as I can access other devices on the network; e.g. the admin page for our two copiers. But when I try to get to the admin page for the pi-hole the request seems to just timeout. "Cannot connect to the server." I know it's working, I can get to it using Remote Desktop on a computer inside the network. So why can't I get to it from "outside" through Tailscale? Does the admin page/lighthttpd have some restriction where it won't respond to a machine that isn't on the same network? If so is there a way to change that? If I forward port 80 I am able to access the admin page via the public IP address, but I'd rather not have that exposed to the internet.
