  1. no problem at all... amazing for youre help ofcourse!! I'm also start using Unraid after some years again and of course everything takes some time getting used to.
  2. At the moment a share with no problems only not being a part the array has the same collor like a device with an problem like this: I think you get my point.
  3. Yes i know, but this was my sugestion. The most usefull thing of a dashboard imo is to ceck quickly if there is annything wrong or somethings that needed attention. Orange text indicates an error or warning, like the orange thums for the disks. This is the feature requast corner right?
  4. thnx, Just changed the pool back to zfs mirror. After reboot created a new share. In the share tab in Unraid is says all the data is protected and there is a green dot in front of the share name. In the dashboard: These are all the files: mediaserver-diagnostics-20231212-1518.zip Thnx in advance.
  5. No over here not. Just change the pool to BTRFS raid1 (mirror) But the share is still orange on the dashboard.
  6. yes pretty sure, pool: Share setup: Dashboard:
  7. For me, the dashboard is a way to quickly get an overview of right and wrong. Green/blue is fine and orange/red needs attention. Currently, shares outside the parity protection but in a redundant pool are displayed in orange, making it appear in the dashboard as if they are at risk. My proposal: Shares inside parity protection: Green Shares inside protected pool: blue (Mirror, RaidZ) Shares on single pool disk or unprotected array: Orange Maybe I'm overlooking something, this won't work for other situations, but in my situation it would be very useful.
  8. Thnx! I also thinking about adding a 10 gbe network card. Would it be better to install this one into the pcie chipset slot?
  9. Hallo Unraid users. Hope you can explane me if u understand the pcie lanes correctly. My situation: My server is on a SuperMicro X12STH-LN4F. This board has: 1 pcie 4.0 x16 (bij cpu) 1 pcie 4.0 x8 / running on 4 lanes (bij cpu) 1 pcie 3.0 x8 / running on 4 lanes (bij chipset) At this moment the x16 slot is used by an Dell perc h310 expantion card and connected to my 8 WD RED HDD Drives. The Dell is an pcie 2.0x8 card. PCIE 2.0 = 500 mb per lane x8 = 4000 mb/s Read and write speeds WD RED = 180 mb/s. x 8 disks = 1440 mb/s. So at this moment no problem. but i think it's a shame to have a pcie 2.0 card with 8 lanes in a full 4.0x16 slot. Then I would rather use the 4.0x16 slot for a fast extra nvme cache. But if i place the Dell card in the one of the slots with 4 lanes there is a max speed of 4x500 = 2gb/s For now it should work i guess? But for future updates to SSD NAS drives... The WD RED SSD = 560MB/s x 8 = 4480 mb/s So thats not possible if i understand correctly? If i upgrade to an pcie x3 adapter card: Pcie 3.0 = 1 gb/s per lane = 4 gb/s. So thats close en since i dont use all disk at the same time in Unraid it would work? And would it make any different if i use the chipset slot? The chipset is connected with 8 pcie 3.0 lanes to the cpu. The only thing that is else is connecteted to the chipset is one nvme drive whitch uses 4 lanes. I dond use anny usb devices or whatever. So there are 4 lanes left? I only use this server in my home, so the probability of reading from the disks and writing to the cache being used at the same time is very small. I hope that someone can tell me i understand this all correct or missing something. Thnx in advance.
  10. Thnx! It seems that the X12 will be fine here. I have IPMI and at the same time also image via the monitor. ls /dev/dri also gives hope now...
  11. i can see that in the bios: VTD / Internal Graphics is disabled. Should i enable this?
  12. Thnx for reply! From ipmi no GPU info.
  13. Dear Unraid users. I'm setting up my new server. Now that all hardware is reasonably built-in, testing has begun. I use a SuperMicro X12STH-LN4F in combination with an Intel Xeon 2358G. This is my first experience with IPMI and now I read a lot that IPMI takes up the XEON's IGPU. When I run: ls /dev/dri I only see card0 but no renderD128 as I should according to this guide: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/77943-guide-plex-hardware-acceleration-using-intel-quick-sync/ Does this mean I can't use my IGPU for PLEX transcoding? or will this work? Thank you in advance!
