  1. Or a way to get the Smart Data to run?
  2. Wow - thank you. Is there anything I can do to confirm if the drive should be replaced? Or are you fairly confident this is the issue? Are West Dig Red's still a good drive? Anything better for the price? Thanks.
  3. Really? Is that what these entries are? Error 3828 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40266 hours (1677 days + 18 hours) When the command that caused the error occurred, the device was active or idle.
  4. Hi all. Been recently having issues with video playback freezing for anywhere from 3-15 seconds. This is happening on FireTV Kodi (2 different ones) and a PC. PC and one of the Kodi's have Ethernet connections with other wi-fi. Much of the time, I will see a buffering percentage on Kodi. Once it starts playing again it will quickly fast forward the playback to get it back to being current. I am running 6.2. I have attached diagnostic files. Any chance someone can take a look and see if there's any glaring issues? Once thing I am seeing is one of the drives is not showing the temperature as shown below. Thank you for any help you could provide. Gregg vader-diagnostics-20180107-1418.zip
  5. The array is back online and working. Thank you guys very much!!!
  6. I just bought an 8TB drive and I will do my backups.
  7. Will do. Thank you Johnnie. You saved my marriage.
  8. OK. I did what you said. I think all is looking good now. See below. I'll chime back once the rebuild has been done. Thank you very much.
  9. Yes you're right. I forgot to remove the disk and start the array without it. I have now done so. I accidentally assigned the new device in Disk 4 slot instead of Disk 3. Does this matter? What does Disk 3 still show the red X? The array has started and clearing things out. I assume this is all good?
  10. OK. I followed the directions in the link and I hope I got this right. I started the array, then I stopped again and then restarted. Attached are more diagnostics after the array was started. vader-diagnostics-20171129-1424.zip
  11. The screenshot is what's there now with the new drive in place. I have rebooted numerous times since the original fail. Enclosed is the diagnostics. Thank you very much. vader-diagnostics-20171129-1410.zip
  12. Hello all. I've had Unraid 6.2 running smooth for years and one of my 3TB drives finally failed. It's not the parity drive!!! No big deal right. I swapped in a new one and Unraid says its faulty as well. I put the new drive in the same SATA slot. Then I tried another open slot and new cable thinking that might be the problem, but I get the same issue. I even plugged the new drive into a PC and was able to format it as NTFS without issue, so I know the drive's not bad. Any idea? Thank you all so much.
  13. Why do clearing times vary so much by drive? I have 4 3TB drives all being precleared at once. Three are Seagate Barracudas and one is WD Red. The red is taking probably 30% slower than the rest to finish 1 cycle. Could it be a sign of a bad drive? Also, do SSD drives need the same number of cycles as a SATA drive? Thank you.
  14. Thank you. Does this also work in the other direction if I want to run torrents through a VPN as well? I already use PIA from my PC. Are there are torrent dockers than can use the PIA connection? Thank you.
