  1. I'm trying to set up a USB Blu-ray drive with my Unraid server. My main purpose is just reading data discs (like ZIP files containing photos) - not playing movies or doing backups. UD showed me there is an disk but nothing more. "partition" button is grayed out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  4. Thanks! I updated all my plugins but should I upgrade Unraid? I don't know if 7.0.0 is stable or not. So I'm not sure. USB disks doesn't have problem if it's not formatted as encrypted XFS so I don't know.

  6. Unable to Mount Encrypted XFS Disk with Unassigned Devices I'm encountering an issue with mounting an encrypted XFS disk using Unassigned Devices (UD). After formatting an external drive as encrypted XFS and configuring the password in UD settings, the system fails to mount the disk. To troubleshoot, I reformatted the same disk with standard (unencrypted) XFS, which mounts without any issues. This suggests the problem might be specifically related to the encryption implementation. Has anyone successfully set up an encrypted XFS disk with UD? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  8. I am using Unassigned Devices and would like to add a remote smb share to Unraid. My main PC on Windows 10 is on the same LAN as Unraid, and it would be useful if I could mount a folder there directly to Unraid! So I thought I would set one of my folders on Windows as a share folder and add it to Unassigned Devices, However, when I try to connect using the admin account on the main PC, the mount fails. I read somewhere that you have to turn off password protection for shared folders in Windows, but I don't want to do that.
  9. Thank you so much! I finished parity check with finding zero error.
  10. Thanks, that's a relief to hear. As a matter of fact, before I added the 12TB disk, I was using 10TB and 8TB as parity disks and then replaced them. So this is exactly the same situation. I'm going to try the parity check again and see if there are any errors.
  11. The day before yesterday, I was unable to Stop or Reboot the Array and as a last resort, I pressed the power button to shut it down. After rebooting, the Parity-check started automatically and found 896 errors. I have never had a parity-check error in all the times I have used Unraid (even when I was forced to power down). The Array has two 12TB disks loaded as parity disks, one 10TB, and several 8TB and 6TB disks. I think the error started to appear when the parity-check reached the 10TB drive, but I am not sure. What is the next action I should take, I left the write-correction checkmark off in Parity-Check, so I don't think the error is corrected. Should I turn on this option and run Parity-Check again? Thank you in advance. unraid-diagnostics-20240920-1759.zip
  12. It's NOT about a network problem. The read speed of the HDD itself is nearly 200 mb/s https://docs.unraid.net/legacy/FAQ/check-harddrive-speed/ But when I actually try to copy the data on this HDD to the array, I only get about 20-30 mb/s. I'm not even sure if I can accurately call this a ZFS pool. I have one HDD formatted with ZFS on Unraid and just use it like a cache pool. When I copy data from, say, another PC to the Array through LAN, I get speeds of about 100mb/s with no problems.
  13. Title says it all. Any advice is welcome.
