  1. After issues with Portainer, I've started migrating all my docker stacks directly into the unraid compose plugin. However for each of the containers that have been added via compose, the mapped ports fail to show up in the unraid UI and the UI also shows the network ID instead of the network name. None of this affects the running containers or networks but it just a bit annoying not to have the info properly. Everything shows correctly when running docker ps. In the example screenshot, 'emby' (which was created by compose) is showing the 'caddy_net' network ID instead of its name and is missing the port mappings. Wheras 'lidarr' (which was created by Portainer) is showing fine. Also in the example 'ddns-updater' was installed from the unraid app store and is also fine. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is?
  2. Both the card and riser are 16X, but regardless, the strange thing to me is the fact that the server won't go below C3 if the riser is plugged into the motherboard, even if nothing is actually plugged into the riser!
  3. So I've just built a new mini-server in an ITX case and can get down to C9 package state which is great. However as soon as I plug in my PCIe riser the system won't go below C3 (even with nothing plugged onto the riser). ASPM is enabled at L0sL1. If a card is plugged directly into the PCIe slots I get C9, if the riser is plugged in: C3. Anyone here have any experience or insight as to why this might be? Are PCIe risers more than just dumb wiring extensions?
  4. Ah right, so its a 8 drive backplane with two SFF-8643 ports.
  5. Is there any chance that running two SSD's on a 5 port (gen3 x2) JMB585 (but in a gen3 x1 electrical slot) would have any performance benefit over a 2 port (gen3 x1) JMB582?
  6. No expander, just a single breakout cable from the motherboard's SATA ports to a SAS connector on a backplane. So it sounds like it will actually work, thanks.

    SATA to SAS

    So I've been searching around I'm not 100% sure of the answer. If you have a hard drive enclosure full of SATA drives that has a Mini-SAS HD backplane, and (using a reverse breakout cable) you connect it to SATA ports that have a JMB585 or ASM1166 controller, will this work? I assume not, and that the motherboard has to to have a built in SAS controller on its SATA ports for this to actually work? That or have to get a SAS HBA.
