  1. Thats mad that you just asked that. I had it all setup on the VM and nerver got around to tinkering with it. Then randomly I saw a YouTube video last night and I thought I would have another look into it. Have you looked into it yourself?
  2. Thanks Michael, I’ll look into that and get started. Appreciate your reply
  3. Can anyone even point me in the right direction?
  4. Hi all, I am sure backups have been discussed on many occasions but I can’t seem to find or pinpoint exactly what to backup etc. My current apps installed are Nextcloud with Maria DB, Immich with the relevant containers to support it and a couple of other small apps. Immich is the main thing I am worried about as I have family photos and such on it. I also have a Synology Diskstation that I can backup to. I have the app data backup plugin installed and will be setting it to backup to my Synology, I have my USB boot device been backed up also. Can anyone share or point me in the right direction on what else I would need to be doing to make sure if my server blows up I will be ok getting back up and running. There ain’t a backup whole Unraid server option I am not aware of is there? Thanks In Advance
  5. Thanks again. Seem to have it running but I’m getting some errors when I search or try to kick off the face recognition. Im waiting on SpaceInvaders part 2 video and I can compare or blow it up and start again following him lol
  6. Thanks for your quick reply, really appreciate it. So that’s the video I followed but I don’t have some options in the Immich install. Ive just added the --runtime=nvidia in extra parameters. I must of missed that and I’ve set cuda in the MACHINE_LEARNING_GPU_ACCELERATION however I don’t have the NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES Or NVIDIA_DRIVER_CAPABILITIES are these something that have to be out in manually? thanks again
  7. Hi Guys, Sorry to jump on but I see yous both have immich working. Can I ask about the screenshots you have attached? I have immich running from the community apps and it has its own folder with the machine learning in the app data folder. When you ask about container size is this the same setup as mine? I kind of understand docker and containers but unraid implements them differently? I don’t think my ML is working even though I set it to cuda when configuring it and I just noticed that uploading from the webpage ain’t working either. Im two minds of just deleting everything and starting again but I wouldn’t be too sure on how to setup a proper docker container in unraid, Most of the guides are working with docker. Sorry for the rant and questions but you two seems to have it working as expected.
  8. Hi All, First thanks for taking the time to read this. I am pretty new to VM’s on unraid and have decided to set up a VM for gaming. My unraid server consists of Dual Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2695 v2 @ 2.40GHz each one with 12 cores and 24 threads. I have 256GB of memory, A Nvidia Quadro K2200 GPU. An array of 14 Drives and a pool of 2 512gb ssd’s for cache. I followed spaceinvaders old video of setting windows 10 as a gaming vm and gave the machine 500gb of HD space, I don’t think its using an ssd but that’s for another discussion. The VM seems to be ok but not really that fast, and I noticed that the cpu usage would go very high when just trying to install something. I installed Geekbench and ran a cpu test and got a really bad score of 392 For single core and 1530 for multi core. I installed Nvidia drivers on the VM and will proceed to run the Gpu benchmark but below is the cpu details displayed in Geekbench. Is there some step I have missed? Name Intel Xeon E5-2695 v2 Topology 1 Processor, 4 Cores, 8 Threads Identifier GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 62 Stepping 4 Base Frequency 2.40 GHz Cluster 1 4 Cores Maximum Frequency 3004 MHz Package Socket 2011 LGA Codename Ivy Bridge-EP/EX L1 Instruction Cache 32.0 KB x 4 L1 Data Cache 32.0 KB x 4 L2 Cache 256 KB x 4 L3 Cache 30.0 MB x 1 Thanks in advance
  9. Hi All, just a quick question. So I currently have 7 disk pool and I’m going to add another 6 disks. Should I just add to my pool or create a new one?
  10. Hi All, I am trying to get around to setting up Nginx reverse proxy on my server. I have a 4 port NIC installed from setup and it appears to be to be set to yes for enable bonding and bonding mode is active backup 1. Before i noticed this I ran another cable to my server and plugged it into a second port on the NIC. My thinking was that I could set Nginx with a different IP than the one my server and other apps are using. Would that be the way to do it? Or can I configure it with a different IP the way its currently set? If I turned bonding off would that release the other 3 nics with there own MAC address? And then I could give it its own IP. I did notice that VM’s get there own IP’s so maybe I am just over thinking it? Any help appreciated.
  11. Cheers guys. At least I have a bit more info on what I need to do going forward. Appreciate it
  12. By going into the container and running a manual update/upgrade? The last thing I want to do is mess it up
  13. I’m literally just finished setting it up on an Ubuntu VM I setup. Have it running and I’ll play around with it tomorrow.
  14. Hi All, Just curios on the best way to update? I currently have Nextcloud, MariaDB, Swag, Uptime Kuba, Dashy and a few other little things running. I normally update when I get a notification that an update is available. Is this best practice? I’m guessing the docker container gets updated and pulls down the latest update for the required app? I just down want to run into an issue like I had in Truenas where my Nextcloud wasn’t getting updated then the version went too far ahead to be updated. Any advise appreciated. Thanks
