Problems after motherboard change and 7.3 update
I’m using a SATA 3.0 Expansion Card 4-Port PCIE to SATA 3.0 Expansion Controller Card Adapter 6G Before I purchased it I checked to see if they can be used with Unraid and a lot of people are using them also. My motherboard only has 4 data ports and I have 8 drives. This was the only way to expand. I woke up this morning and the server is unresponsive to a ping but still powered up. I’ll have to hard shut it down

Problems after motherboard change and 7.3 update
I ran memtest and it passed. Decided to replace the cache drive so now have that all back up and running. I have the VM Issue resolved now aswell. I can also set the fans. The new thing now is that drive 5 became visible in the unassigned devices. I had to shut the array down and remove it, Started it back up and then shut it down and added it again. It’s currently being rebuilt and 20% into it drive 4 is giving errors and is now in the unassigned devices tab. These are all brand new drives and I only have about 3tb of data on the server. All this data is on drive 1. Drive 2,3,4,5 are all empty when I explore them. I’ve attached a new diagnostic zip file. Is my data going to be gone since drive 4 is in error while drive 5 is being rebuilt. Thanks in advance battlestar-diagnostics-20260622-2102.zip

Problems after motherboard change and 7.3 update
ok I’ll run it overnight. Has anyone noticed from the logs why I can’t pass through an NVME drive to VM?? Also is there anything us novices should be looking for in our diagnostic files? I’d like to be able to try diagnose things myself before coming here Thanks in advance.

Run a mem on a reboot or should I download a CA memtest container and run it?

Problems after motherboard change and 7.3 update
Hi all, So I recently had to change my motherboard and decided to go with the Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. B550M AORUS ELITE AX Once I changed it and booted back up everything seemed to be ok. I then proceeded to update unraid and have come across a few issues that I can’t seem to resolve. (1) I have a nvme and a ssd configured as cache and since the update I have been getting some mixed errors. Yesterday it was degrading but after a reboot the pool is showing as online but a yellow triangle and has thousands of errors on both drives. (2) I had a windows VM setup and previously passed through a NVME drive so windows can use it. The issue now is that a lot of devices are greyed out in the system devices tab. My NVME drive is in another SCSI devices menu below and as I said most devices are greyed out. (3) I have FANCTRL PLUS Installed but it can not see any PMW controller. Im sure there might be some other little things I haven’t noticed yet and would appreciate any help. I have attached diagnostics download file and if anything else is needed just let me know. battlestar-diagnostics-20260616-2244.zip

Sorry guys a rookie mistake. I never noticed that unsaid connect had to be updated first. I’ve never had to do it before but I missed it this time.

Hi All, Just tried to update to 7.2.3 but got the above error. I’ve checked and some people say reboot the server and check the USB is not full. Rebooted a couple of times and my USB has 121GB of free space. Anyone have this issue on this release?- Unraid Move and Some Security Attacks Questions
Appreciate all your help mate. Thanks Again- Unraid Move and Some Security Attacks Questions
I will be transferring the flash drive with my license over to the new server so I should be good with that side of things. thanks for your help, now I’ll just wait for the parts to arrive On oerfectYeah I was thinking that the app data folders would get the containers back up and running but then I would manually need to move the like of my Immich photos etc? while building the new server I will be using 8 6tb drives plus some ssds for cache, I was thinking of going with zfs this time as all drives will be the same size. Would that cause any issues? please see attached diagnostics file tower-diagnostics-20250312-2348.zip- Unraid Move and Some Security Attacks Questions

Sorry I should have mentioned that it will be all new drives and SSD’s for cache and no raid controllers- Unraid Move and Some Security Attacks Questions
Hi All, I am looking for some information on the best way to go about moving to new server. I am still awaiting parts to be delivered but once they do I plan on building the second server and then was hoping it would be an easy move to shift all my containers etc over to the new server. Would it be a big job? I currently have some containers like Immich, Adguard Home, NextCloud, NGINX Proxy Manager and a few other databases for the relevant containers. Is it a case of setting everything as scratch on the new server and then taking a backup from the current one? Any help would be appreciated. I will be moving from a dell Poweredge server with old hardware to a nice new fresh build in the Jonesboro N4 case. Second question is regarding some attacks I can see on my UniFi network, All directed at my Unraid server. See Pic attached. I know they are getting blocked but I am curios on what they are and if it is because I use NGINX Proxy.- Beta 4 update Immich issue
Thanks buddy. Thought I was screwed.- Beta 4 update Immich issue
Hi All, I just updated to beta 4 and the update went ok. I was starting back up some of my apps and I got some kind of runtime error on immich, Think it was to do with a nvidia driver. I went into to edit the container to see if it was missing anything and I never changed anything, When I pressed done I got an error and now my immich application has disappeared. The appdata folder is still there but if I check immich in the apps tab I only have the option to install. Is there a way to get it back?- NGINX Issue I can’t resolve
Got it resolved. Just for anytime in the future that has a similar issue. What it was is that I didn’t create a custom docker network when I first created my unraid server. I had most of my apps running as standard on the same IP as the server 192.168.1.132 all using different ports etc but my NGINX setup I had running with a static IP of 192.168.1.201 after I created a custom docker network and moved everything over it’s working as expected. i never knew they could not communicate with each other. Lesson learned and thanks for helping out.- NGINX Issue I can’t resolve
I have forwarded ports 1880 and 18443 to my NGINX server and now when I probe my external IP on them two ports they are closed. Doesnt make sense. As soon as I switch it back to forwarding ports 8080 and 4443 they replay as being open. What Am I missing??- NGINX Issue I can’t resolve
So I tried that but when I probed the ports on my external IP they where closed. Why does the template state that the container port is 8080 and 4443? Probing my external IP with them ports forwarded to my Nginx IP shows them as been open. I’ll give it another shot. Appreciate your reply- NGINX Issue I can’t resolve
Hi All, I have held off for weeks and weeks before posting this and have tried everything I can, Hopefully someone here with a bit more experience can tell me what I have set wrong. I have a couple of containers that I want to be able to access, The main one being Immich. I have Nginx installed and configured with the default settings (see Pic attached) I have Forwarded ports 80 and 443 to 8080 and 4443 probing the ports on my external IP shows that they are open so Im guessing that side is good. Once I turn off the port forwarding it shows as closed. All my cloudflare stuff is done, DNS records are all configured. Immich.thisismydomain.com (not my domain by the way) sends traffic to my external IP. I can ping my domain and get a reply back from my IP. I can turn on proxies in cloudflare and then pinging my domain gets a reply back from cloudflare servers. Everything so far is looking good. In NGINX when I create the certificate and test server reachability I get Your server is reachable and creating certificates should be possible. Everything seems to be looking like it should work but when I try to connect I get bad gateway error (see attached) If anyone knows what I have missed or done wrong I would really appreciate the help.- Wazuh App/Docker/VM
Thats mad that you just asked that. I had it all setup on the VM and nerver got around to tinkering with it. Then randomly I saw a YouTube video last night and I thought I would have another look into it. Have you looked into it yourself?- Best Unraid Backup and what exactly am I backing up???
Thanks Michael, I’ll look into that and get started. Appreciate your reply- Best Unraid Backup and what exactly am I backing up???
Can anyone even point me in the right direction?- Best Unraid Backup and what exactly am I backing up???
Hi all, I am sure backups have been discussed on many occasions but I can’t seem to find or pinpoint exactly what to backup etc. My current apps installed are Nextcloud with Maria DB, Immich with the relevant containers to support it and a couple of other small apps. Immich is the main thing I am worried about as I have family photos and such on it. I also have a Synology Diskstation that I can backup to. I have the app data backup plugin installed and will be setting it to backup to my Synology, I have my USB boot device been backed up also. Can anyone share or point me in the right direction on what else I would need to be doing to make sure if my server blows up I will be ok getting back up and running. There ain’t a backup whole Unraid server option I am not aware of is there? Thanks In Advance - unRAIDServer.plg Plugin failed to install 7.2.2 - 7.2.3
