  1. I tested copying files from hdd to hdd witch are mounted with Unassigned Devices and I can say these copy speeds are faster. The speeds are around 200Mb/sec. So I suspect that the array thinks that there still is a parity drive and that is the reason why I see speeds of around 100Mb/sec coping from hdd to hdd witch are mounted to the array. So to be clear there was a parity drive some time ago but not at the moment but the copy speed of the array from hdd to hdd are still around 100Mb/sec. Not sure if this is normal behaviour or a bug...
  2. I have a weird issue, and it happend before. The only thing to get Plex working again was a re-install. I'll explain. My TV Shows with EAC3 sound don't wanna play. Other files play perfectly. Here a snippet of my log with the error: Jun 17, 2018 15:32:19.650 [0x14e91edfe700] DEBUG - Completed: [192.168.1.53:52036] 200 GET /status/sessions (14 live) TLS GZIP 1ms 1810 bytes (pipelined: 1) Jun 17, 2018 15:32:19.650 [0x14e914bff700] DEBUG - We're going to try to auto-select an audio stream for account 1. 3. Hi I have a LSI 9207-8i. How do I upgrade this card? Is there a guide? Has anybody upgraded this card before?
  4. Nice to read the history of unRAID and that everything went well.
  5. 110MB/sec is network speed on a gigabit network. Sata 600 is much faster. It's faster as the HDD. I copy a large file from HDD to HDD. If I'm correct the 10TB Ironwolf's do read (sequentieel) 210MB/sec I'm not sure what they do when writing. That is why I'm asking. If I'm correct 100 -110MB/sec with parity drive is normal. True?
  6. I have a chassis with a expander backplane it's connected to a LSI 9207-8i (dual link). All drives are 10TB Ironwolf's. If I copy a file from one disk to another via the terminal with mc my speeds are avg 110MB/sec (/mnt/disk1/movies --> /mnt/disk2/movies). I have no parity drive installed at the moment. I have feeling that this is to slow but I'm not sure. Please some help from a expert.
  7. Thanks for explaining pwm. Johnnie already pointed this out but I'm always curious why, how, etc.
  8. Hi Johnnie! Yeah I remembered your values when answering Maticks post. Maticks is speaking of 750MB/sec and if I check with a online converter it also says 750MB. Of course it's al theoretical. I have seen your post with the graphics (you linked) and that are the real life values. That answers my question. So you have full bandwidth when using one drive.
  9. I have a expander backplane chassis what is connected dual link with a LSI 9207-8i (PCI-E 3.0). Some calculation: SFF8087 --> 4 * 750MB (per cable) = 3000MB * 2 (dual link) = 6000MB. The LSI is PCI-E 3.0 so 1000MB per lane thus 8000MB. Then the LSI is fast enough. During parity check with a 24 bays expander backplane chassis I have a speed of 6000MB / 24 drives = 250MB per drive. What is the speed when only a single drive is accessed is this also 250MB? So sata drives to the motherboard connected have a speed of 600MB per drive. What happens if I move the parity drive from the expander backplane chassis to directly connected to the motherboard? If I move my cache drive from the expander backplane to directly connected to the motherboard (if the speed is indeed max 250MB). I have a good speed increase. True? I'm trying to figure out if it has any value to move parity drives and cache drives to directly connected to the motherboard. The values are theoretically and not a real life situation!
  10. Does it make much difference if I connect the parity and the cache drive to the motherboard (own sata port) or connect them behind a expander in the expander chassis? Edit: What I mean is there a speed difference?
  11. That "I" never noticed it before so I suppose it's new. Nice.
  12. I need Jaikoz more to update the metadata of my music once a year from the Musicbrainz database. Jaikoz supports Musicbrainz. So it's nice when Jaikoz is installed on the same server as where my music is. Over the network this is painful slow.
  13. Probably a know issue. The update button of unRAID in the CA is still pointing to the plugin tab and not to the tools tab. Not sure if this has something to do with backwards compatibility. I don't know when "updating unRAID OS" was moved to the tools tab.
  14. Upgraded my unRAID Server and I had one issue that my virtual (br0) network was gonna. Restarted the Docker service after that everything was fine. Love the the way we can choice the start order of the Docker containers. Very nice done! Also the terminal option in the context menu is cool. Thanks dev team. Edit Yeah, I also noticed it awhile back.
  15. Didn't notice your reply till I received a email today... You was liking my post? I'am on Mac OS. I used mp3tagger when I was using Windows but I like Jaikoz. If I ever go back to Windows then I'm going to use Jaikoz again! But everyone has his choice of software and that is good!
  16. I had a unclean shutdown today because I was so stupid to pull wrong power plug. So the I had the same issue. No virtual network thus the Docker containers didn't want to start up. ps. Everything is now in my hobby room to test. I have a nice new rack APC UPS but it's not attached yet. Everything has to go downstairs to server room when I bought a server rack.
  17. Ah, good one! Didn't thought that way... Clear, thanks.
  18. I had a issue with Docker today. One Docker container became unresponsive after I tried to update the config. I hanged in the browser. So I tried to remove the container and this was impossible then I stopped the other containers. My intention was to stop and start docker again. This didn't help. So then I tried to stop the array. This also failed and unRAID server OS generated a report with graceful shutdown. After everything rebooted my virtual network of Docker was gone. I had to change some network settings and apply to rewrite the network config I guess. After that everything worked again. So I suspect that it has something to do with a disappearing / crashing virtual network... So to be clear my Docker container have a own ip address. I hope you guys can use this information. Attached the report. enterprise-diagnostics-20180513-1446.zip
  19. Can happen to the best! I appreciated what you are doing with unRAID webgui. I started using unRAID OS I think in 2010 but moved away for a couple of years. I checked every year what progress was made with unRAID OS. Since Docker has arrived unRAID is becoming really interesting. I must say every release it becomes better. Also so a big thumbs up for the Limetech devs and not to forget the unRAID community and community devs.
  20. I want when the disk is for example 75 percent full that everything is moved to the array.
  21. Ah yes, now it's clear. I did see the plugin mover and unRAID mover as 2 separate things but the work together. It's just a enhancement. Like the plugin name says. Maybe it's a idea to make this more clear that these functions work together thus unRAID OS schedule checker and setting the threshold. Going to play a bit with setting and check if it's working now. Thanks wgstarks!
  22. I'm confused.., so if the threshold is reached then the mover will do his work without setting a schedule? If I want every 60 minutes a move job then I have to set the schedular for 60 minutes?
  23. Ah, so I have to set "Force move of all files on a schedule" to yes and set a time?
